i don't hear much talk about these on the forums but from what I read online these are both Amazing bikes! My buddy is in the market and has always wanted a triumph and i have never owned one so cant vouch for them, but does anyone hear have thoughts on the bikes I mentioned?

I meant street triple

Both great street bikes and the triple cyl engines are amazing for street riding

Best handling, and sounding bike I have ever owned.
Not too common either so it stands out in the regular crowd of japanese ss.
Highly recommended them.

Had a Speed Triple. Engine had torque everywhere. Great ride

Excellent Bike. 40K on mine with the only reliability issue being a Regulator Rectifier issue that was covered under a recall. Would buy another in a heartbeat.

Got a '12 daytona and 30k in, no issues yet. I believe the only issue with the previous generation was with the R/R. Your friend should definitely sit on one before they buy as their ergo is considered more aggressive then their Japanese counterparts.

Gonna go this weekend and look at a few with him and see. So do they sit more forward is that what you mean? he is about 6 feet tall.

Yes they are known for being very leaned over. The more leaned over you are the more "aggressive" the seating position/ergos are considered. Don't forget to check insurance rates first.

I own a 675 with 50k on and I love it. I'm 5'11" tall and I have a riser adjustable handle bars. The only issues as others said is the Regulator Rectifier and the EXUP valve.

Good luck.

Also consider the Street Triple it is basically a Daytona in naked street clothes

ya well thats what I put in the post.. he likes the triple alot and it has the same engine just less aggressive riding position.

You said in your first post Speed Triple which is a 1050cc not the Street Triple which is the 675cc

I've been taking care of A few Speed Triple 1050's. Been taking care of one particular one a while now, its prob in the 60-70k mark now. and a few Daytona 675's

The Daytonas are the nicest 600-750 range sport bike, they handle well and gobs of power.
The 1050 speed triple with sprockets and a good tune, exhaust etc is a just mental!

The 1050 is just a mental robust bike .

Both bikes have their fair share of british silliness
