1994 900rr fireblade throttle/carb issue?

riding yesterday, all works fine, rpm works great at idle and in twist.

then i go over a few bumps and soon after, the engine rpm just starts dying down.

after that, bike starts but quickly dies.

sometimes, when tried to start, i'd use the choke completely and it would run for a bit but as soon as i'd add throttle it'd die.

i pushed the bike towards home, then decided to start it again...

it started, but at full choke only, and the rpm seemed kind of unstable.

later before shutting her down, i would twist the throttle and then release quickly to see where the rpm would end and it would be all sporadic -- usually ending lower. finally it shut down.

a friend said it is a needle issue.

any thoughts anyone?

thanks

check battery and stator.

EDIT:

Also if you want to sell it I am looking to buy :D

Have the battery load tested, although if it starts the bike it should be OK. Make sure the connections are tight as mentioned above. Make sure the stator is putting out the correct voltage for your bike, and that the regulator/rectifier is regulating correctly.

The manuals usually have a procedure for these checks.

thanks! ... could've sworn it was something to do with carbs!
