    Wind on highway

This write-up helped me: How to Safely Ride a Motorcycle in Windy Conditions A naked bike made it especially scary at first with no fairings to guide the wind away. But like others said, you'll learn the ways of counteracting the wind effects. Stay loose and low!

2005 FZ6 Naked for cruising - fly screen options?

Update: picked up the Puig 0869H light smoke screen and it works great! It eases the pressure around my helmet but it's not completely gone and that's fine. I wanted something subtle looking with some wind relief and this does the trick.

New Helmet - AGV K6 or SHOEI RF 1400

Yeah that's the one thing that will probably be something to get used to. It wasn't intuitive the few times I tried, I had to really position my hand correctly to get it to open. I think it's one of those things that you'll develop a habit for when used long enough. I haven't tried it yet with...

New Helmet - AGV K6 or SHOEI RF 1400

I ordered from Home - ChromeBurner. They seem to have great customer reviews and I contacted support once and they were really helpful. Hoping I just got unlucky, let's see what they say to my email. Side note: the helmet is sweeeet. It's my first upgrade from the cheap entry level HJC I picked...

New Helmet - AGV K6 or SHOEI RF 1400

I just got my helmet today but I'm disappointed in the quality control. Everything on it looks fine and the shipment contained everything as it should but the paint has defects. It looks like particles got stuck in the paint which doesn't make sense because I assume these are painted in perfect...

New Helmet - AGV K6 or SHOEI RF 1400

Hi all, I'm in the market for a new helmet and I really like the K6 for the lightness, the comfort, quiet, fit and look. I was pretty set on this but I'm second guessing myself when considering the market leader Shoei. For those of you who've tried both, have one or the other, what's your...

2005 FZ6 Naked for cruising - fly screen options?

Fortnine apparently doesn't have stock of the 0869H puig anymore but instead thinking of this: https://fortnine.ca/en/puig-retrovision-windshield-dark-smoke-with-black-semi-fairing-9560f It's shorter, looks like it'll be similar to what you had @wonderings . Seems so expensive for a little...

2005 FZ6 Naked for cruising - fly screen options?

Thanks guys. I'm gonna do a couple test runs before buying anything (picking up the bike today). The little windscreen and i guess the position of my SV650S was pretty good in the wind. Before that my old KZ650 was naked and very upright and that's where I experienced a lot of bobble-head action...

2005 FZ6 Naked for cruising - fly screen options?

So in my case it's naked, no windscreen or front fairing at all. I was thinking a little fly screen would be ideal just for a little better flow?

2005 FZ6 Naked for cruising - fly screen options?

Hi guys, I've recently purchased an 05 FZ6 that's been converted naked. I cruise the highway often enough that I'm thinking I'll need some kind of wind protection. Has anyone had experience with this conversion and what fly screen/windscreen they are using? I'm trying to find some options...

    Low CC Sport Bike Review

Does it differ from cars to bikes? I am well practiced with many hours on the track with throttle control on my car. Isn't increasing throttle/engine speed to match the gear "good throttle control" ? Blipping doesn't have to be aggressively fast or very high rev, just enough to get into the...

    Low CC Sport Bike Review

This thread took a turn and reading through the comments about blipping the throttle has me scratching my head. In order to get to the right gear on any manual transmission, you should be matching engine speed to the road speed for that gear. If you are slowing down and you are in the lower rpm...

    New Rider and Member - '77 KZ650

If you're talking about the brown line down the crankcase, that is gas :) Fuel line was badly cracking when I got it and carbs were leaky, petcock was also leaky. Battery was ****** and was replaced anyway but no freezing. I've since cleaned that up. If you're talking about the chain guard...
