    The first $100 oil change.

Liquimoly has two products that they claim will clean flush the motor (at around $25 perbottle), Crappy Tire has a like product "Kleenflo" at around $10. You may wish to try those (I had, and the old oil flows out easier and yes, the motor ran without missing a beat when I later filled in fresh...

    Umar Zameer

Am not condoning any wrong-doing, this extract from an article by Matthew T. Martens [an eminent US based trial lawyer, ex-Federal Prosecutor, ex-Defense Attorney] is food for thought. The conundrum of wrongful conviction has stalked mankind from the earliest of ages. Irenaeus of Lyon (AD c...

    Hearing loss

Finding a good Audiologist and getting HAs to match your need is a " journey". Mine took five years, four audiologists and every name-brand instrument on the market before finding something that worked. What I use now is an improvement on hearing but am not able to find something that matches...

    Kijiji scammer alert

Recently at a gas station (Petro-Can at Erin Mills/ Batleford) was approached by two women driving an older van, wanting to dispose of jewellery. The two were multi-lingual and atempted to pick up a conversation while I was filling gas. Of course they were not to know that I had previously been...

It is the ear wax that clogs the HAs and am not sure if UV will evaporate that residue. As far as I know (and thats not much!) removal of that necessitates pbysical cleaning and/ or replacement of the ear buds. As for moisture, aren't HAs IP68 certified? Whatever works best for you.

Agree with GG's comment. Better than UV exposure (unproven) is to follow the physical cleaning which the audiologist should have explained how to. Most, provide a cleaning kit and replacement ear inserts.

    So....election in 2024!?

Back on the topic of elections, tho' this one in a different country. Indian authorities say about 969 million people have registered to vote in the 44-day general election, creating a massive electorate of about 12 per cent of the global population for the biggest election in history. Once upon...

    Hearing loss

I liked the Phonak for it's ability of speech and hearing with phone calls. The Signia works with only the hearing part of phone calls, however it came out on top with it's auditory capability - a greater number of sampling/tuning channels, six different manual programs if I wanted to overide...

    Private sale and test rides

One possible approach is to allow him to inspect the bike and both agree on a price, then complete the transaction with a bank draft for you and a letter of sale for him. An option would be for you to wait at TH while he goes to a bank to get the draft. After that, visit Service Ontario to...

    Hearing loss

Caveat: hearing loss and hearing aid preferences are strictly individual choice. I had tried the Oticon and Phonak before settling on the Signia. The Signia is not as BT capable, but for me it's hearing restoration was superior. The newly extended hearing range did initially cause sensory...

    Front brakes are sticky

Could it be due to the over-torquing of the axle nuts?

    Motorcycle seat

http://www.uniquetrim.com/ (He was the former Service Manager at a now-closed motorcycle dealership) I have used Potzy and Uniquetrim. For me the seat by Uniquetrim was better (edit: more comfortable)- but then each one's butt is unique! In terms of cost, not much difference between both...

    Hearing loss

"When you say fitting ....are you referring to software tweaking or sound contouring to patch the deficits?" ... It is both. All depends on the individual hearing deficit and whatever device works best, is the best!

    Hearing loss

$500 per device in Ontario regardless of age. IMO the adage "You get what you pay for" applies here. The "cheap" are basically audio amplification devices. The $$$ have more channels to sample the auditory input, custom programs to attune to the environment (concert hall, meeting room etc)...

    Tankless water heater just burst

Switched to tankless a year ago, absolutely no problem with hot water supply i.e. it is almost instantaneous and multiple use does not effect the temperature level. Caveat: depends on the type of tankless, the common adage "you get what you pay for" applies. The company I used had no problems...

    GP Sales

Test rode a Ducati GT-1000 when GP Bikes was operating out of the strip mall in Ajax. Always glad to see a bike shop doing well and Jerry has expanded his business vs. others shuttering down!

    Normal car recommendation….

CVT? .... ugh! Had a Civic 1.5T with the CVT, liked the car and hated the CVT (even after six years of ownership). Two major recalls, the most recent being the potential of fuel pump failure and a couple of TSBs that if you didn't ask for, you wouldn't get.
