thanks for the update glad to hear your trip was a safe one. the virago 250 / vstar 250 was a bike I was seriously contemplating on as my 2nd bike. At the time I was riding around on my tw200.

nice read on your trip thanks for sharing , I think any kind of touring like this on a smaller cc bike is cool, it adds to the adventure of the trip.

on my way home last week i passed him on hwy 10 just south of caledon, it is pretty cool to ride by it and see it while its moving.

dont forget about conservation areas as well for camping. Elora gorge isnt too far and it provides you with some decent trails to explore as well as going on a tube down the rapids if you are up for it. That was my first destination on my motorcycle trip last year solo. it was a good time.
