Difficulty of Chain / Sprocket replacement.

A fellas got ta use the Shell Rotella. It's got a lot more vitamins and dinosaurs in'er. And zinc. That's waaay too much. Perfect.

Difficulty of Chain / Sprocket replacement.

Is that what that tool is for? I may be showing my ignorance, but I always thought that was for seeing if your axle was perpendicular to the chain? And my two cents on chain rivet tools, buy a halfway decent one, don't trust your life to pot metal. Not an endorsement, but an fyi:

    Lost and found: Ganaraska Forest

Found some tools today on some Ganaraska single track (Friday July 30). Thought I'd give someone half a chance at getting them back before they become part of my tool kit. Let me know what they were and we can meet up. Also anyone know of a more appropriate forum for this sort of thing?

    New moto park ?

I was up there on friday on the DR and it looked like a lot of fun. I wouldn't mind going on a weekend but would like some more novice company.. anyone interested? I'd love to see an obstacles section where I could bring the trials bike for a spin. I think the neighbors are sick of my back yard...

    Load bearing wall removal

Here's my basement 7 years ago. Just do it. Also: You can stagger lvls to span that distance so long as one end of each beam is supported.

    Load bearing wall removal

To be fair though, "spans the whole first floor" could be 10' or 50' depending on your neighborhood... :P

    Load bearing wall removal

You're probably looking at sandwiched 2x8's or LVL beams supported by several 2x4's on either side (depending on the span). I'm not trying to make it sound too simple, but wanted to remind you that you may find some wiring in there that will add to your cost once the walls are opened...

Help! Neighbour taking advantage by parking too close to my property line.

I think I have a simple answer for you. Do the same. I see you normally drive straight into your parking space at the moment, but if you simply start backing in, with your passenger side up against theirs you'll block them walking on to your lot. They'll have to back out, let the passenger...

    TTR 125 kick start lever

What about Zdeno's? They're in Kitchener, and although it's been years since I've been, they had a good stock of bits and bobs. Not really dirt oriented but worth a call. https://www.zdenocycle.ca/

    General hardware

I'm just adding Canada Bolts to the list because I didn't see it mentioned. I used them on a KDX rebuild and they were quite good to deal with. https://canadabolts.ca/

    Not all cylinders firing

The plug cap is the hard plastic boot that sits on the spark plug itself. The wire from the coil connects to the plug cap in different ways, most likely twist on. Like Cody said, you need a solid connection in there to get a good spark at the plug.

    Rusted Bolts - Caution needed?

You might try spraying in some PB Blaster, Gunks Liquid Wrench, or even some WD, for a day or two before trying to loosen them. (Just mind your paintwork) You probably won't have much trouble, but make sure you've got a decent allen key with no rounded corners.. And a bit of leverage will...

Honda CB750 Restoration (Not sure of the year, I think '79 or '80)

Thanks RT The tank and covers were as they were, but the frame was a bit of a mess and there was a tear in the seat. By far the worst thing was the engine. It was spitting oil out the exhaust and rattled and clanked like a scrap yard falling down the stairs... I ended up having the cylinders...

    Prototype self-balancing enclosed motorcycle

One thousand three hundred foot pounds of torque! From a couple of gyros! Obviously not a sexy silk screen view of motorcycling but I sure hope it catches on. Though it could use a couple of outrigger skies for use in winter :)

Honda CB750 Restoration (Not sure of the year, I think '79 or '80)

Great thread, RideThis.. I've gone through just about everything you have with my '75 CB750 (sohc) in the last year.. I'm sure by now you've found www.vintagecb750.com They're pretty good for parts, but can get a little pricey. Also, I do have some extra engine covers and bars left over...
