Haven't had any issues with 500cc parallel twins and really no issues on the single 650. Maybe highways on the klr, at traffic speeds I'm pretty much maxing it out. But im also fat which doesnt help. Supersports are too high on insurance. id consider a v-twin or triple for easier highway travel...

If you have insurance you can get a 10 day temporary permit for a motorcycle. I actually got pulled over the day after my temp expired (I thought it was expiring the next day) while on the way to MTO with my safety to complete the registration... thankfully the cop was nice and let me go.

Unless he and traffic in front of him were both stopped (as it seems from what he said.) It doesn't matter how far back you're stopped with brakes on, there's a speed someone can hit you at that'll send you into the vehicle in front of you. Kinetic energy is real.
