If you guys are ever in R.hill try the Wing Machine - they do em' different over there (for some reason only this Wing Machine location) small wings, fab. flavour and sauces...
just bought a pair of Alpinestar boots at Cycle world - no tax if you pay cash.....limited selection - they sold a tonne of stuff at the show but worth the ride...go check it out if your in scarborough...
You are getting an amazing response. It's good you know the risks, and you are blessed to have the friends you do. However, it's your life, and you have to do what 'feels right'. Commit to it or don't and if/when you do - enjoy every second. I (unfortunately) was nailed by a drunk driver 7...
Extremely humane of you to help that guy out - I was in a horrific accident on my bike almost 7 years ago. Very elderly man (legally blind) nailed me, nothing I could've done.
If it wasn't for several people like you I may not have made it. I only hope that all of us will find that...
Welcome back! I had a 6 year absence from - and just got my M1 - M2 in mid April, have a new bike waiting for me - can't wait......good luck finding the next bike!
Ahhhh the first ride, glad you have your senses about you - my bike isn't coming for a few weeks otherwise (because I'm in R.Hill) I would have offered to go out with you. Stay safe, and the rewards are limitless my friend.
I'm In Richmond Hill too - will be riding a black GSXR 750 (VERY RARE bike) lol - hope to ride with other R. Hill bikers this spring/summer. Welcome to the site. I've only been here a few weeks, and am amazed at the calibre of people as well as the info. on this site.
Cheers!
Thanks again for the welcome - wondering about the best way to find out about our first group ride. I'm in R. Hill but have no trouble travelling.
I did join a few groups but haven't heard anything yet - I suspect because according to the 'calendar' we are still in winter:)!
Thanks.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone - 'YES' it will feel great to get back on a bike. After being hit by a 'legally blind' driver (don't ask) it sort of forced me off bikes for awhile - Can't wait to be back.
The video you posted on proper engine break-in was very helpful - thanks IRONLUNG...
Thanks for the welcome! Really stoked about joining this group - seems awesome! Do you have any tips on the best way to 'break-in' a bike? There are about a dozen different recommendations. I've tried em all with past cars and bikes but still not sure which is best.
Thanks!!
After a 6 year riding hiatus, really excited to get back on a bike again. I just purchased a 2011 GSXR 750 and am looking forward to getting out on the road with some other riders.
Take care guys!
