    2026 Rides

Riding the Guzzi on River Road, just north of Caesarea, Ontario, a rural area, around 7:00pm on Wednesday, lovely conditions. Going about 80km/h, minding my own business, no one around for miles, when quite suddenly something very big, brown, and with feathers appeared in front of my face. It...

Post Media might be out, but someone else will pick up the slack. I don't expect flyer volume to decrease.

What did you do in your garage today..?

My tool box is too full. Too much crap. It makes the drawers difficult to open and close at times. Sometimes something becomes stuck and the drawer can't open or close. Very frustrating. I'd like a bigger tool box, but not enough space here in the garage. I found these mini tool boxes at...

    Basecamp

"... back in the day..."?? I still use the plastic pocket on my tank bag for paper maps on long rides. I have a GPS as well, but if I could only choose one, paper would win.

If the seller was serious, he'd put it back together. A little effort goes a long way.

    I also did a thing!

Wow! Nice bike, Mr. Burns! 👍 Did you wash the V-Strom before the trade in? 😅 Dumb questions? Such as? Yep, installing the center stand on my Guzzi wasn't too difficult, either. A ratchet strap made quick work of the springs.

    Torque wrench on sale

Quite correct. Every rider turning their own wrenches should own a ¼" socket and ratchet set, and a ¼" torque wrench.

Front end/ Suspension shops around the GTA

Close, but... Begin with the brake caliper(s) removed. They will be installed as the final step. Install the axle and torque to spec. Tighten the pinch bolts on the fork leg with the axle nut. This is known as the "captive" side. Leave the pinch bolts loose on the "free" side. Place the bike...

My Guzzi service reminder light comes on every ̶6̶,̶0̶0̶0̶k̶m̶s̶ 10,000kms. It can only be reset by the dealer, or perhaps DIY using some very expensive equipment. So, the light will stay on forever. I call it "The Guzzi Golden Wrench Award", given to those who perform their own service.
