    Should I just stop riding?...

Sharprider training is great. I took it several years ago, Level 1 and 2. Funny now but was not funny then - crashed while being on tour almost right after. 100% my fault, i knew immediately what I did wrong and which skills taught in the course I should've practiced more. One advice and it is...

Is There Any Bike Out There That Can Give You 400+ km's On Tank Of Gas?

I know a guy in US with Yamaha FZ6 (1st gen, 2006) who has 250K miles on it and counting. Mine is 2007 and nowhere near it but lots of folks of fz6 forums got well over 100K on theirs.

Well, good luck and post pics. When I said call shops - I would not talk to service manager but would actually drop by and arrange private deal with mechanic, gotta be easy 100-150 bucks for them.

    Hell's drivers!`

His thread was actually an eye opener for me - I never thought that people can be such ignorant drivers.

So why not call bike places around the area and see if one of the mechanics would come out and check the bike for $100? or even pay a bit more but at least you will sleep well after purchase :-)

    Is this a good deal? ('09 650r $4500)

I lowsided my bike last year - now after all repairs and new parts you won't be able to tell it was dropped, not a single scratch (aside from fairings which I was too lazy to touch up and they are designed to protect the bike after all). If I ever decide to sell it - I'd be very upfront about it...

    Is this a good deal? ('09 650r $4500)

Are you sure you are capable of checking the bike yourself? Nothing wrong with admitting that you are not there yet and just use some hired help. As for the guy not sounding too confident about what was done to the bike - can be to advantage of knowledgeable person (possibly knocking down the...

    Is this a good deal? ('09 650r $4500)

I won't call it sketchy - low mileage, that's it. Read up on the bike before you go, know what was the prescribed maintenance and ask seller lots of questions. Feel with your gut if he is telling the truth about oil changes, chain lubing, etc. All these small things matters and you'll likely...

Dude, just relax - you are going to be fine. Yes, first bike buying is nerve racking - just calm down, take your time, bring your checklist if it helps you to stay focused. Good idea to bring someone with you (even just a friend whi does not know anyhting about bikes). Bring small flashlight too...

Paying cash for a used bike?

Totally - just to be on the safe side. If you still decide to get it - just program 911 on your speed dial and keep it ready.

Paying cash for a used bike?

Man, you threads made me all paranoid - bike is likely stolen, seller will replace all expensive parts with used ones and will likely kidnap you and keep you chained in his basement.
