Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Only if they get a lot of millions in deposits to prop up their cash flow.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I would guess $40-50 million in deposit liability.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Exactly. It’s a liability on their financial reporting. A deposit is a debt that Tesla owes to their customers. Where I work we get deposits for bigger projects and none of those deposits are considered revenue until at least some of the work has been completed. Until then it’s a liability on...

So, What Do We Think of Cybertruck?

Man... i dunno. The Aztec was super ugly and it was definitely never cool. I feel like Tesla could have flipped the truck word on its head and still made something that genuinely looked good. This thing, with a more realistic wheel and tire combo, covering all the other propulsion technology...

So, What Do We Think of Cybertruck?

Literally every concept rendering of the Tesla truck I’ve seen is far better than this supposed production version. I too am waiting for someone to say this was a joke and that one of these is the production version

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

One thing a lot of people don’t realize is that deposits are a liability. They aren’t revenue. If those deposits are being used to prop up cash flow, which I’m 99% sure is exactly what Tesla is doing, that’s really bad business practice.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

The cybertruck reminds me of a bizarro car I saw in a movie many years ago. Pretty sure it was an awful 1980s movie and the car was called “the wedge”. It was driven as a get-away car and would hit and flip other cars to get away. Can’t place it. Ring any bells??

VW Space Vizzion looks awesome! It’ll probably end up with a name like ID.6 or ID.7. It’ll be built in the US so most likely available in Canada as well.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

That’s like the people who think we should put mini windmills on EV wheels to generate power while driving! Of course there are use cases that really are not compatible with current EVs and charging locations/limitations. Also, that meme is fake.

Looks like the Mach-E will be at or slightly under the price point of the Model Y. I was guessing that it was going to be much more expensive so that’s a pleasant surprise.

    2019 MotoGP Discussion (No links)

COTA was only 3/4 finished for the inaugural race back in 2013. I wouldn’t worry about that too much.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Over 5000km on this tank of fuel and still have about 1/3 tank left. Should be able to hit 6000km no problem. So many cool things that could be my next vehicle down the road (hopefully another 4-5 years with the Volt) The Kona is very cool but not much bigger than my Volt. Probably no longer...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

20km to work. 25km home. I do plug in my Volt at work in the winter when the heater kills my range.
