    E bikes rampaging Toronto streets

Leaving an e-bike battery out in the sun and (possibly) charging is asking for thermal runaway. I'd bet money that battery isn't UL 2271 certified, which is supposed to greatly reduce or eliminate that chance.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Apparently Honda tuned the suspension on the Prologue and reviews say it's more Honda-like compared to the Blazer which they feel is harsher. I use Apple Carplay on the Prologue, it's been pretty flawless and with the latest Android OS update I can now watch YouTube, Amazon Prime etc on the...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Checked my charging history at lunch and saw this. Not good, hitting 80C on the 14-50 plug for my charger and de-rating. Need to check it out tonight. Also was informed that a workmate takes possession of a new Cadillac Optic Friday. Payments are half when factoring in gas to travel in to work...

    Smog

Install tech checked with Goodman as that was a prerequisite for my new install. MERV 13 is OK they said but I'll most likely have to change them more frequently to maintain acceptable airflow. I scored a Magnahelic differential pressure gauge from a decommissioned system at work so I installed...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Equinox and Mach E would be good. No major issues and well-liked by owners that I know. Blazer EV if you want more leg-room in the back and Optiq or Lyric if you want to splurge. Prologue is an orphan but I like mine. Downside to GM or Ford is that they aren't fast chargers like 800v...

    Smog

Apparently Waterloo is the highest AQI at 264 in that area. Very unhealthy. Thunder Bay at 564, that's almost lethal. We're at 66 so far. MERV 13 in the home HVAC and running blower on high continuously. Put a Bosch HEPA filter in the vehicle as well. Trying to get MERV 13's installed in the...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Interesting concept here. Basically a kit that allows the F150 Lightning to accept charging power while driving to extend range. Throw a 10 Kw generator in the bed or additional batteries and add a couple hundred km to the towing range, which it badly needs, especially in the winter.

New HD CEO has a Plan.............

Brought it to TMP a couple of times. Got shagged in the corners by anything with a lean angle over 30 degrees lol.

So I tried motocamping for the first time...

Couple of other things. I almost left a main tent pole behind. Slid it off into the grass behind the tent to fold everything up and missed it on the final pack. It was only because I moved the bike up and decided to rinse the mud off the kickstand puck that I saw it when I walked over to the...

So I tried motocamping for the first time...

Went to PineHurst Lake Conservation near Cambridge last weekend. 2.5 hr ride for me. Place was empty so it was real quiet and I chose a site farthest away from others. Enjoyed the solitude and I'm going to do it again but start going farther out. I'd like to try Algonquin area eventually and...

New HD CEO has a Plan.............

Only issue I ever had was needing a new snubber from too many hard launches. That took months to procure. Thirsty beast as well.

New HD CEO has a Plan.............

I had a VROD for 10 years. Purchased new in '14 for 22k. Loved the bike despite it shortcomings but nothing soured me more on Harley than the negative dealership experiences and twat Harley owners. Wanted to trade it in on a PanAm. Dealer offered me 9.5k, saying nobody wanted it and wouldn't...

Local bro has a cyber truck. Wrapped and all. I'd bet a paycheque he's got a restraining order or not allowed near schools.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Those solutions are beyond my knowledge, although I'm sure it's already been solved in Norway and China since they are pretty much the leaders in electrification initiatives. Looks like Sweden is going all-out now as well. Without the full story, it looks like someone in Nova Scotia didn't do...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

You can always go with load sharing. No need for separate runs and breakers. Simpleswitch and Evolt as an example. Not cheap but it works if you're power-constrained at the panel.

I love the Buzz. Watched a ton of YT trip videos on it. I can totally see us in one when I retire. Dogs on the floor and gardening supplies in the back lol. Range isn't as much of an issue at that point. But even then who cares? I won't be in any rush.
