Couple of other things.
I almost left a main tent pole behind. Slid it off into the grass behind the tent to fold everything up and missed it on the final pack. It was only because I moved the bike up and decided to rinse the mud off the kickstand puck that I saw it when I walked over to the...
Went to PineHurst Lake Conservation near Cambridge last weekend. 2.5 hr ride for me. Place was empty so it was real quiet and I chose a site farthest away from others. Enjoyed the solitude and I'm going to do it again but start going farther out. I'd like to try Algonquin area eventually and...
I had a VROD for 10 years. Purchased new in '14 for 22k. Loved the bike despite it shortcomings but nothing soured me more on Harley than the negative dealership experiences and twat Harley owners.
Wanted to trade it in on a PanAm. Dealer offered me 9.5k, saying nobody wanted it and wouldn't...
Those solutions are beyond my knowledge, although I'm sure it's already been solved in Norway and China since they are pretty much the leaders in electrification initiatives. Looks like Sweden is going all-out now as well.
Without the full story, it looks like someone in Nova Scotia didn't do...
You can always go with load sharing. No need for separate runs and breakers. Simpleswitch and Evolt as an example. Not cheap but it works if you're power-constrained at the panel.
I love the Buzz. Watched a ton of YT trip videos on it. I can totally see us in one when I retire. Dogs on the floor and gardening supplies in the back lol. Range isn't as much of an issue at that point. But even then who cares? I won't be in any rush.
My Ultium's good for 450 km, an Equinox 500+ km. That's more than my bladder nowadays so it's good enough for me.
If you want to do Iron Butt-style runs, knock yourself out. Even when I had my 1200 km-range Jetta TDI, I had to stop periodically for food and bodily functions. So did the rest of...
I found this info this morning. FWIW. I'm not seeing any accounting for carbon credit rebates for electricity consumed though, which should lower TCO, providing it stays around.
Both my Honda and KIA dealerships have recommended (made up) annual services for my Prologue and Niro. It's basically a bunch of visual checks and a battery condition check via ECM query. IIRC it's $350-450. Manufacturer-wise, it's a cabin air filter every two years and battery coolant every 10...
Yeah I was hoping CC was coming to the Transalp but I imagine Honda doesn't want to bleed sales from the Africa Twin either. Aftermarket is a possibility.
I'd love something like that custom NX500. Some aux lights and cruise control would complete it. My next bike will be a 500-750cc twin, no use for the heavy big bores now especially with the cost of insurance and fuel.
