    Start of OPEC Mafia collapse?

It's unclear (to me) what UAE's neighbors think of this. They're kinda surrounded, and thus, at least somewhat dependent on their neighbors (OPEC members) playing ball. Personally, I think they have something up their sleeve. Long term contract with China paid in yuan and factoring in Iran's...

    Why, why, why,

My 1980s FZR400 has self cancelling signals. It's just a counter in the odometer that turns the flasher off after a fixed distance which is never enough. I would rather it be set for a longer than usual distance, thus serving the intended function of turning off a forgotten signal more...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

ESA now requires a 50 amp breaker (with conductor sizing to suit) if you are installing a NEMA 14-50 receptacle, their thinking is that this way people don't need to read instructions or labels. My install with 30 amp breaker and conductor sizing pre-dated that rule change. It wouldn't really...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Could be done either way, though max charging amps through a plug and NEMA 14-50 receptacle is 40 amps through a 50 amp breaker. If your car allows a higher L2 AC charging rate and you have enough wiggle room in your distribution panel, it has to be hardwired to make use of it. Mine is set to...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Mine is set at 24 amps, well within the rating of the receptacle. I initially planned for moving the EVSE between indoors and outdoors, but actual field experience has found this to be unnecessary. If I were to do it again, I would probably hard-wire it. The Grizzl-E is built inside what looks...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

My L2 is outside. In winter when the car gets parked inside, I use the 120V that came with the car. Obviously I can still park it outside and use the L2 if the car really needs a big charge overnight.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

There are passenger versions of the PV5 in global markets. I don't know if we will get them, but IMO they would be crazy not to. edit: Kia does have the EV9, but that's marketed as a more premium vehicle. Just checking now, starting price is $63k ... less than I thought it was. I know someone...

Look into the Kia PV5. Styling is ... interesting, but the price is a lot more attractive.

If it's open to an adjacent housing that contains oil, it'll be ok.

    Gated driveway pics only

What cracks me up are rural estates with a fancy looking gate across the driveway, and manicured lawn with no fence on either side of it.

    Where's my balls?

Also, if that cage is missing, the balls can all go to one side of the bearing and allow the central race to shift to the other side by enough to allow balls to escape. That (in the putting-together direction, as opposed to the coming-apart direction, of course) is how they assemble the balls...

    Where's my balls?

Yeah, those chunks of plastic used to be the cage that held those balls correctly spaced!

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

My Bolt needs the gearbox oil changed at 150 000 km, and the coolant loops (3 of them) flushed at 5 years. That's the only scheduled maintenance related to powertrain. Tires, wiper blades, interior cabin filter, wheel bearings, suspension parts etc are same as any other car, except brakes last...
