How did your testing go? I've been testing Gaia, OsmAnd, and LocusMaps trying to figure out which one I like best for following and creating gpx routes.

Riding Down Under - Tropical Cairns Australia

Let's hope you have less problems getting warranty support than I had with a BMS (battery management system) I got from AliExpress. It failed about a week before the 1 year warranty expired, and the seller was giving me the run-around and was refusing to replace/repair under warranty. Luckily...

    CarPlay

I have a Cardo packtalk slim and it works seamlessly with the Carpuride. I have the Cardo paired to my phone only, but using the Capuride I can control music, answer calls, etc.

    CarPlay

I got this one (W702Pro) for my Norden 901 Expedition in April (about the same price, it was $242 at the time from Amazon). So far no complaints, I like it and find it works quite well!

    Trailers

I like my 5x8 Rush trailer... got it about 10 years ago and it's been rock solid. Not sure if they offer aluminum but worth inquiring. Very well built: https://www.facebook.com/RushTrailerFactory/

So I tried motocamping for the first time...

That's awesome - it's right around the bend from my cottage (I'm on Monck Lake). If anyone is ever up this way, i'm here 80 percent of the time from May24-Oct. Shoot me a PM and we can ride the area or if you just want to stop by for a dip in the lake to cool down from a long ride let me know...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I remember when 35mm camera film was the go-to MacGyver "tool" for fishing out crud from fork seals, but good luck finding that anymore 🤣

    Not worth the risk

Depends on your definition of a ramp 🤣

    Not worth the risk

Is it still yearly in Australia? In Ontario, it's every 2 years once you hit 80.

    Not worth the risk

And if you can fit your bike on a 4x7 utility trailer, it's only $15/day!

    2026 Rides

Very nice!! Did you have lunch in Haliburton? I just heard that one of my favorite places to eat, Poquito Loco (such a cool location at the Castle Antiques shop) is closing down at the end of this season :( Apparently the rise in the cost of tomatoes was the nail in the coffin :/

    Clutchless Shifting or better shifting

I didn't use my quickshift much at first, I kept rolling off throttle out of habit and that made it feel a bit clunky - but recently I've forced myself to keep throttle constant and I must say, I'm really liking it! Hopefully it won't screw with my muscle memory when I'm riding my bikes that...

    I also did a thing!

That's what I did on my Norden 901... I have the seat in the "high" position because the slope changes a bit and I'm not sucked towards the tank quite as much in that position.

    Where to get a puppy?

DAMN!!! And I thought my Siberian Husky's daily run of about 8-10km was a lot!

    Why, why, why,

I don't see an issue with adding auto canceling turn signals to bikes providing it works well. Would you rather have manual signals in your car too???

Poor Service and Questionable Inspection Standards at GP Bikes

Not in the East end, but I saw this advertisement today and was happy to see a shop proud of offering work on older bikes:
