Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

No. This is around the patio stones I posted a few pages go. If we ever go the slab route, it'll be b/w the posts, but the posts will not be on any concrete deck, only in/above the footers that go 4ft down.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Help me settle an argument with dad GTAM brain trust... Planning on building a 10x11 or 11x11 gazebo / pergola at the cottage in the fall. Dad opinion: - post MUST be embedded in the concrete footing to be good MP opinion: - post CAN be placed ABOVE the concrete footing on brackets to...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Colour me surprised…. 4/4 battery down to 2/4 after mowing the front, side, and half of rear yard. 2/4 bars left and only place I didn’t mow is under the pool / trampoline.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I'll make sure to call you BEFORE I start my Maverick brakes. Looking online for new rotors + pads this week as I'm feeling a rumble and the front 100% will need to be replaced soon...but I'd rather just do all 4. Wondering whether OEM Ford or aftermarket is the better option. Back to EVs...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I tried to do my Odyssey's rear brakes once...a 2-3hr job ended up taking 8-10hrs, with @GreyGhost driving down from his place to come help me out. I will never forget that man's good nature to help me out.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Ugh that sucks. I've had to rip out a few rows previously where I had a similar issue.

    Did you exercise today?

I should really get going on that. Noticing my mobility is falling off a cliff at 46.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Def the right call. No point in a new chain without new sprockets at that km range. I'd say you can't go wrong with either OEM or aftermarket from a reputable source.

Mallet to tap it into place. If that doesn’t work, take odd the closest long edge baseboard, get the tool that slots in there and mallet to tap them all 3 in so hopefully that one locks. If that doesn’t work…gotta take em apart.

    What are you reading?

Great! Took me a bit to get used to the accent and her way of narrating. But after a few chapters I was hooked.

Thanks all. Looks like I’ve got some more investigating to do! I’ll try the relearn method first, then off to the 3x drain and fill. After that…Honda dealer or a transmission shop. Sadly updating the software could only be done at the dealer from what I’m reading.

Yes you are correct. My bad. Apologies for that.

And you work at Honda so I'll take that advice strongly! I'll look into rebuilds, but a newer Odyssey is tempting...although the price is  Although I have seen decent 2023-2024 models for sub-50k which is shocking considering 6 months ago I couldn't find anything below 55k on the used...

Just drain and fill. I've read and have it not recommended to do a pressure flush due to things getting dislodged and getting into areas they shouldn't be in.

    Tranny problem recommendations.

Sorry guess I should clarify...the first transmission service we did was 5 years ago (so 2021), then 2 years after that, and now annually. Symptoms started over a year ago or so, possibly 2+, and we've just been doing them more often ($210/last one - previously $150). Will try driving it in...
