    I've seen the future.

https://www.yankodesign.com/2021/08/01/this-firefly-inspired-husqvarna-bike-balances-the-comfort-of-car-with-the-thrill-of-biking/ I gotta say. This looks like 2030.

Thinking of packing it in on the street...

I have many neighbors who have bikes in the garage, that never see light of day. And yet they call themselves riders................ If your bike spends more time in the garage than on the street, it needs to be set free. It's a disgrace to the bike. Poor thing, sitting there ready to go at a...

Carburetor working in super slow-mo (video)

It's constantly open even when the motor is not running. Yes a carb is constantly being agitated during riding situations. Imagine how much more so with a motocross bike

Carburetor working in super slow-mo (video)

His Float is pretty much a useless component it that model.

    Why abuse the situation?

I have always wondered about down town Montreal. There are signs disallowing motorcycles after 10:00pm I have always wondered if this is legal. Could this happen in Toronto. I honestly don't think it constitutional.

    Test rides?

I wouldn't buy a bike without a test ride unless it was from a dealer. That way, I can give it back to them if it's screwed I've also test rode bikes for many people on this board. No cash in hand, no license. If you look and talk honest, you usually get to test ride the bike.

    New Yamaha R-7

If it's named R7, half faired, with a vertical twin engine, it sure may look like one but it would be very disappointing.

    New Yamaha R-7

A few basic things bother me about this bike. I think most of us feel the same way, but have not said it yet. The R1 is the gold standard in sport bikes. R6 also pretty damn good in the inline 4 series of sport bikes R7 is too close to that moniker. It makes it sound like a Super Sport bike...

Ready Powersports: Do they sell any motorcycles?

Gary64 said, his trade in has been there for 5 years now. I'm sure it is overpriced and will only sell to a buyer who is desperately looking for the particular bike. The owner does not care about making money quickly. He's very rich and will not discount on anything. The shop is even worse. My...

    Yamaha XS750

There's so much that has to be done to that bike. Is there a working throttle cable? If not, how are you going to find one? there are many parts no longer available for it. It will turn in to a sourcing exercise. Join a message board that deal with these bikes specifically and they will help a...

    Yamaha XS750

Great bike back in the day. The triple, delivered power in a completely different way and most people didn't like it. Or people loved it. It's heavy to today's standards It is a high maintenance bike. You will learn to wrench well on this bike. don't pay more than $1,500 for a certified example

    Who pays for the safety/certification

I feel bad about my replies on this thread. I feel like I bashed Ted Roey too much. Ted is a completely honest and trustworthy mechanic. He does good quality work. He can be trusted, to give you an honest quote on repairs and then carry them out the way they should be done. He's one of the few...

    Who pays for the safety/certification

I don't understand. You're saying the person who paid for the safety inspection is responsible to insure nothing goes wrong with it???????? You know that's untrue? Right?

    Who pays for the safety/certification

OK, listen, The OP sounds like this is his first motorcycle buy. Here's what he need to know. If you, {as a beginner} go to buy a motorcycle that has been certified, you can rest assured that the bike should be road worthy and safe to ride. [unless it's Roey Toes. Don't get me wrong, I've...

One giant leap for electric motorcycles

This is the only way I see Electric vehicles moving into the future. Quickly change out my used battery for a recharged unit and bang boom, off I go. Chances of getting a stinker battery may arise, so having a mobile unit to send to change a battery on the go will also be a considetation. Once...

Gas station poll (just for fun)

I've been riding for 50 years. I have always done A I've seen a few friends get gas all over themselves when doing C. Funniest thing is when the gas hits the hoop. They tell me it really hurts and burns for hours after.
