    Pickup Trucks

Hyundai’s approach didn’t offer true practical solution and was priced higher than their own comparable SUV. More style than substance and cost more. Hmmm…. I liked the style personally but, they priced it higher than any “cool” factor they thought it had. 🤷‍♂️

    I did a thing

Good question! Seems post Covid very little. Not sure if the owners decided to pack it in or what happened. Was just out that way this past weekend to check in on White Meadows Farm for maple syrup. I’ll do another drive by Ridge Berry and see what the deal is. 🤷‍♂️ If there are any...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

I was in Montreal in December and had a taxi take me to the airport that was a BYD. It was roomy but, everything about it screamed early 2000s Hyundai plastics and Casio instruments. Not sure how long they would hold up. 🤷‍♂️ Granted it was being used as a taxi and would get a lot of...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Got a box full of bike parts purchased from market place. Only wanted the bar end mirrors so that will be the task in the cold. The question is, is it worth it to try and sell bike parts on eBay? I’m at the border and can ship to American purchaser if needed. Not much market place...

    I did a thing

I ride my fat tire bike along the beach throughout the year and when summer water temps allow I’ve waded into the water. The bike is due for some cable replacements now. lol. The waterfront festivities isn’t what is was but, there are some nice spots to park and take in the view. Grab a cold...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Now that I’ve dipped my toe into the market with a PHEV, the idea of a used EV is looking promising. I think battery preconditioning is important and not all EVs are the same with how well they manage their batteries. Also, home charging is fine for the most part but, if you need to road trip...

Carney drops tariffs to 6.9% on Chinese EVs

I think it’s the Chinese doing what they typically do. Get their foot in the door and then the market demands more and forces our government to accommodate because of the overwhelming market response. The Chinese also gain better market analytics from the products sold here. Where...

Actually, that’s the one! Should have said Husky and not Esso. Dang it! Going to correct my post. I suspect if you been there the last 15 years or so, there still would be some familiar faces with signs of wear. lol.

For breakfast in the Niagara Region. There is a Husky, (not Esso) truck stop off the QEW at Glendale that is a gem. Staff been there for years, always open and quality is excellent for a truck stop and priced well. We have a few family owned independents that keep the lights on and keep...

Where did your motorcycle come from ?

Mine is manufactured/assembled in Thailand and branded British. (Triumph T100) I suspect Royal Enfield cranks out a ton for their market. The Big Bear and other twins are not intended for the Indian domestic market. For Japan, I’m surprised. Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda make a boat load of...

    Restaurants

The days of taking the family to Montana’s or The Keg have been in the rear view since Covid. Hit up Swiss Chalet recently. Been very selective and purposefully choose small and local establishments. Here in Crystal Beach is South Coast. Friendly, good food and reasonable. For sure...

    Leather vest - do’s and dont’s ???

Being ignorant or naive isn’t an excuse to organized MC clubs so, do a little research about dos and donts. A plain leather vest is perfectly fine and looks the part. From a function standpoint, I’m not sure. But, admittedly I’m not a AGTATT and been known to wear whatever I want.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

For PHEV, check out the Sorento. I believe the outlander is based on Nissan Rogue platform and it’s decent but, might be a little tight on room. The petro engine acts as a generator to power the electric motors. Once you lose ev range and go to hybrid mode, the fuel economy isn’t the...

    Coffee

I see a lot of coffee cream at the grocery store. I’ve been known to add some Bailey’s while camping or at a friends cottage but, it’s never been a regular thing. My ex MIL was a fanatic of French Vanilla stuff. Any of you partake in that stuff?
