    Used bike purchase

Read the fine print. Most actual stuff that goes is excluded as mentioned above and the kicker on some of those 3rd party warranties is that the coverage is null and void if the repair is worth more than the value of the bike. (ie. Engine and Tranny go, they say they wouldn't get a couple grand...

    Who's still riding? (Fall 2016 / Winter 2017 edition)

450km loop along the north shore of Lake Erie on Saturday. Great ride and had lunch on a patio in Port Stanley. Not many of those kind of days left!!

    valve clearance adjustment

Bike Specific and mileage driven. However; Street bike? Check the manual and consult a GOOD, EXPERIENCED mechanic. I4 SS bikes usually say 24k or so, I had my litre bike done at 35k and had one exhaust and one intake a hair out of spec. At the recommended interval, barring total bike abuse...

    Can Am Spyder

Last summer, along a single lane highway, I came up to a group of them. Watching them, one by one, put more than half of their machine into oncoming traffic just to see if its clear to make a pass on a slow moving tractor with a trailer was the scariest thing I've watched in a while. Center...

Saw a supersport today, but it took a while.

100%. Seeing a lot of this (again) lately. Tiny little eBay LEDs that flash like a dim strobe and brake lights that barely change from running to braking. Maybe cool in the Timmies lot, but get rid of that cheap crap. Not trying to be a crusty old man, but considering most cagers don't see us at...

    Cr250r won't start

Sounds like rings or reeds. Clean the carb and check the reeds first. Those are easy. It IS a 2 smoker, so rings are definitely a regular thing. Have you rebuilt it lately?

Bought GSXR 750.. First bike - What should I do...

It's a Suzuki, needs nothing but fresh oil and gas. Get good gear, wear it all the time, get the suspension set up for your weight, book a rider training course for next spring, enjoy it! Can defer the valve clearance inspection until 35-40k as anything earlier and they will likely be well...

What should I do for track days in regards to bike?

Definitely sounds like you have the right mindset and all the gear lined up. Awesome to read/see the enthusiasm! Food for Thought: By the time you get track fairings, wheels, tires and other bits (nevermind the time and effort to switch over for every track day), you've probably paid for an...

    Trail tours, horrible experience!

A shame to read this. We just did it the following day from yours (Sunday 17th) and they were more than accommodating in every way. Instructors for every level of riding. Willing to let you really push yourself (safely of course) and have a blast. Our group had everything from an advanced MX...

    Bike keyed!!!

Possible a pebble got flicked up between your knee and tank while riding and as you moved and shifted it scratched the paint? I would think if some ****** is keying bikes, he'd be a lot more malicious about it.

Can't fix stupid 2: Stupid and Stupiderer

Embarrassing. Childhood, playground behavior. Any good jobs overseas? I'm a proud Canadian, but it's getting to be too much to admit we're lead by these knuckleheads.

    Good rain suits?

I've had my $135 Alpinestar rain suit since 2009 and it still kept me toasty and dry on Friday. Haven't seen a set of Frog Toggs that has kept anybody dry for more than 10 miles...
