I remember when I used to put things in my Amazon cart, if I didn't buy immediately, the price would start going up. It really ****** me off, but I've noticed they don't seem to do that any more.
Yup, it's surprising how much even used TRS pin kits are selling for. Plus you need a base installed wherever you want to use them, so limited flexibility while straps/chock are more portable.
But they're very good at holding the bikes down:
Straps? We don't need no stinking straps...
With a good wheel chock (which includes the V-nose of a U-Haul trailer), all the straps need to do is keep the bike from backing out. The chock keeps the bike upright and the front wheel from moving side to side.
Double-check your local laws/bylaws regarding air powered firearms on your property. As @GreyGhost mentioned, you don't want the police breaking up a nice family gathering.
Go to TD's web site and get a quote based on what you're interested in. You can play "what if" by going back and changing the model without having to re-enter you personal info. I think they also save it and email you a link so you can recall it if you close the site. TD may not be cheapest, but...
I do have an entrance through my house, but I have a car up on the 4-post lift which I need to get down and out of the garage. Which means moving the bikes out from under it first. Coincidentally, I just finished decluttering and found an 8' 2x4 that was stored along the bottom of one wall. It...
The Vevor ads I saw included the wrench, and there's someone on FBMP selling one for $50 but doubt it will be the right size spring since mine is non-standard. I've watched videos of people doing them and it looks pretty straightforward, with the main concern being to fully insert the rod before...
Almost exactly 12 years ago to the day, I had my garage door converted to high lift with new springs, pulleys, cables, and extended tracks. Today the opener would only lift the door about 6 inches and stop, then the door would slowly sink back down. Looked up and one of the 2 springs are broken...
That's well over the $1/cc/yr threshold I'm willing to pay for insurance, even for a SuperSport.
I've been pleasantly surprised by the Co-Operators quotes I got online. They're about the same as what I pay at Desjardins but only bundling the cars. I should get additional discounts for bundling...
Is this a reputable channel? It gives me an AI vibe. I don't recognize some of those repeating overhead pans, especially the one by the water. Plus the narrator's pronunciation of Toronto. And now I see the "Synthetic content" banner at the top. Was going to forward to my daughter who is...
The problem with some heavy degreasers is that if you leave it on too long or let dry, they will stain. Which is why I prefer to dissolve grease first with something like WD40, then use a light soap to clean off the residue.
Is your Quickjack too long/short for the Odyssey's front/rear jack points? You can also use them perpendicular/"sideways" (one to lift the front, one for the rear). If there's a huge difference in F/R weight distribution, you may want to test by not lifting past the first lock height to see if...
Love it when GTAM looks out for each other, but I actually have a couple of soldering irons and have made my fair share of electronics repairs. Just not confident on this microscopic wire and heat pad. It's been collecting dust since I replaced it with a wired jacket liner, but would be nice to...
Thanks for the offer. I'll dig it out and get a pic for you before making the trek to see if it's actually salvageable since the wire going into one of the heat pads broke right at the pad. And if I'm coming up there, we might as well do a Muskoka ride.
