    I also did a thing!

Snow city, same place I got the vStrom, they gave me a decent price for the trade and a bit of a discount. I saw the same sales agent at the motorcycle show and we got talking, all went very easy. I reached out to GP bikes as well, but honestly they kept asking me a bunch of dumb questions, so I...

Thanks! No stand yet, but will be looking for it very soon. Haha, I forgot to mention, yes this is the manual version, good eye! I don't think I am ready for DCT. I know you liked it, so did a lot of other people.... but... I do have plans for the quick shifter ;)

You are totally right, I was thinking the centre stand IS the first thing I should get, will make maintenance much easier. I can't event check the oil correctly without putting the bike upright. Then maybe the windshield, I need a bit more height to make it perfect.

Second phone number without getting a second phone?

Most phones over the past years have dual eSims for this purpose. I use the 2nd one on my iphone as a travel number so I can make local call aboard. Pretty sure there are apps to purchase a 2nd eSim without having to go to your mobile network provider.

Might as well put this out there, since a few of us have so far this year. My new ride, 2026 Honda Africa Twin ES! Whoohoo! :giggle: (y) Only been out on a few test rides to get familiar with the bike. So far so good. Break in is only 500k. Then first service at 1000km. Has almost...

    Anyone into gardening here?

A few weeks ago I took advantage of the warm up we had and sowed some seeds. Just checked and the animals haven't eaten them yet, and I'm starting to see some poke through the dirt. I hope it work out.

    Plumber East End

Update: Called around to some plumbers, the last 2 guys I called seem to be the best with both knowledge and pricing. The others were a bit sketchy with extra charges (machine charge), or wanting to do a site visit then do estimate (probably exorbitant pricing).

    Plumber East End

Thanks Mike, yeah it does connect to sanitary. The city did dye testing last year because someone in the neighbourhood was contaminating the storm line. Not me, some idiot up the street connected a toilet to the wrong line. I saw the gobbler on Amazon, but it seems none of the regular retail...

    Plumber East End

Actually I kinda know where the city portion starts. I don't have sidewalks here, and we have ditches for drainage, the city redid all the drainage pipes for the ditches, so they had to repave the end of the driveway. Maybe I should go paint a line at the drive and say this is what the plumber...

    Plumber East End

Thanks Mike, Now that you mention this stuff, when I renovated the basement, we found a large 3" pipe behind a wall. Same side as the plumbing stack. It was already disconnected but ended close enough to the outside wall, and to the plumbing stack. This probably was the clean out. So that is a...

    Plumber East End

Knowing how dumb the world is today with passing the buck, the plumber will say the clog is on the city side call them, the city will say no clean out so nothing, and I'll be left with no solution. 🤷‍♂️

    TV shows currently watching

Recently finished up a complete re-watch of Game of Thrones, still great, and watching it this way, you don't miss any of the story bits, as a lot happens in that first season which comes back later on. S8 still was weaker then the rest, but not as bad as I initially remembered. Also finished...
