Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

As if that wasn't bad enough, Global News has revealed that over 100 inmates have been improperly released from prisons since 2021. https://globalnews.ca/news/11801453/ford-government-jail-release-improper/

I'd like to see someone make a Charter challenge based on the fact that they just increased the ability to hold more people, for more time, rather than improve the Charter Right to trial within reasonable time.

Yeah, ideally you can do both at the same time. One issue is that we seems so stuck on punitive action, that addressing root causes gets left by the wayside.

Well that one is a comedy. There was another one, out of the UK, but I'm drawing a blank on the name.

When it comes to shows about Norsemen I prefer either documentaries, or the show actually called "Norsemen."

That really doesn't happen unless they have them dead-bang.

You can absolutely have your license revoked for things like being in breach of the terms of your license, diversion of product to "illicit outlets", and the like. That it wasn't done in this case is stupid.

One thing for sure is that putting in LED crosswalks will result in people smashing LED crosswalks. At TMU they put in LED puck lights, around certain buildings, as both an architectural feature and as lighting for pedestrians. I think maybe a third of them have been smashed. You want better...

The regs don't state that you need trigger locks. I just prefer to use them, in addition to locked storage.

Yes. Yes I did. All my firearms are properly stored and have some form of trigger block.

It absolutely is more difficult. I bought a cheap set of picks to get a trigger lock off my 1022, because the key wouldn't fit for some reason. Got that off and decided to try my hand at it, with more locks and better picks. One thing I learned was that the new locks, that I bought to replace my...

I made damned good money, from tips, when I worked in the old Terminal 1 parking lot. Got really good at getting into cars when people locked their keys in them. Running cars pretty much doubled what they offered to get help :ROFLMAO: (These days I'm trying to learn basic lockpicking)

"Blake's 7" is pretty good, but has Doctor Who level effects. That's a pity. To me, DS9 is some of the best Trek since TOS.

You'll likely start to see the parallels between in and "Deep Space 9" almost immediately. JMS pitched B5 to a bunch of studios, including Paramount, in the late '80s. DS9 started production a couple of years before B5, but Paramount had JMS's B5 "bible" for several years before DS9 was in...

I went back to rewatching "Babylon 5" and the scenery chewing soap opera grade acting is just as I remember it. Harlon Ellison helped to keep the story on track and the writing was always excellent, which is its saving grace. I'm really enjoying watching the character arcs again. Prime picked it up.

I don't know that I'd dignify the shallow left arc with the name "corner." In the little speech I would give, at the top of Snake, I would refer to it as left, dogleg right, decreasing radius left.
