Likewise and thanks @cutekill for the tickets. Nothing better than sitting on all kinds of bikes in the middle of winter.
Also great to run into @PacoT and @STARSHIP - looking forward to some riding together this season:)
This year I told a buddy I would help him hit the 1600km mark on the solstice ride, so I think it will be just me and him, since it's hard to keep a consistent pace for 17hrs with more than 2 people (I tried it 4 years in a row and failed every time). He rode with me last year and he covered...
I'm working in Scarberia on Friday, so thought I would grab some roti from a nice shop off Kingston Rd, then hit the show for a few hours in the afternoon on my way home.
Did a school exchange thing. I stayed there for 2 weeks and had a kid my age from up there stay at my place for 2 weeks. I learned about sniffing glue up there - never knew it was a thing until then:)
That was probably the introduction to my downward spiral lol.
Very cool Mike. I stayed up in Attawapiskat for 2 weeks a long time ago. Quite the interesting place it was.
Doesn’t look like much snow up there. How cold was it?
Nice - hope this is a good show for you.
If I can swing the time off in the summer, I want to ride the Rock. It's the last place in Canada I haven't been to that I'd like to visit.
Or maybe back out to BC and spend a week riding around there in the late summer/fall.
Besides that, I should...
You've met my dog - I never take him off leash in the neighbourhood because although he is very loyal and will stay near me, I don't trust him one bit to not take off and explore or get hit by a car. I do think he would be much better off leash if we were allowed to take him off leash from a...

Didn't see a post about this one yet and looking forward to going. The exhibitor list hasn't been released yet, but hoping a good selection of the manufacturer's represent.
Last year I grabbed custom earplugs from Ontario Hearing Protection and they are...
I loved Cuba. And I liked the food!
The people were kind and generous. Havana was really interesting. The only thing I didn’t like was my helmet which had a thick crack down the entire centre of the lid. It was so deep, I could pull the helmet apart into two. But I was wearing a tank top...
I really like the condo we have next to Fort York. It's a nice building and will always be a magnet for being rented out because it's one of the older buildings in the area, but not too old. Mortgage is very little and we have a great long term tenant who in turn pays cheap rent. Maint fee is...
I’ve only ever run stock tire sizes on any of the bikes I’ve owned.
A question like that I would check on the KLR forum to see what real world feedback is. I’m sure people have either asked about it there or done it.

Metzler Marathon ME880's are very long lasting hwy tires. I rode with them on my KLR for one season. I found them a bit hard for cornering, but they were great mile munchers.
A cruise around New Zealand? That sounds interesting and a pretty neat trip overall. Out of all the countries I've visited, New Zealand is the only one I've ever felt I could permanently move to. Have a great trip.
