The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

I’m WFH today. If boss says anything I’ll take a sick day. Roads look horrible from 511 site.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

The change b/w Bolt EUV and EV is very small. She needs more space and with the kids in, and seats up there's very little there. I'm thinking of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. Neighbour has one and he loves it.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Been looking at some of them this week. Shocking how much cheaper they are now compared to when I was looking at the Maverick. I actually think I could do a straight trade for a Bolt EUV...but that's silly to switch up cars again... Wife needs more trunk space though, we checked before when I...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

2+3 is 95% of our need. MIL doesn't go out often with us. 80% of that would be my wife alone going to/from work, the rest would be us together with the kids, and the last 5% would be 6 in the car (to which we can just take 2 cars). All that does is keep me as a DD (and I can always UBER if I...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Anybody know of EVs that would fit 3 kids in the back? 2 boosters + 1 forward facing, which will go into booster mode in a few months anyway. So basically 3 boosters in the back. Got me thinking recently about upgrading the Odyssey and while we love the space...the only time we use all of the...

    Metal Roofing?

Thanks. I checked the records and nothing on date of install. I’ll just call insurance and give them the 10-15 years. It needs to be replaced within a year or two. We looked at moving but the rate / payment jump is insane (even if similar to what we expect to sell for). Makes no sense to...

    Pickup Trucks

Found a hilarious review of the 'first' luxury pickup truck in 2002...good read, and it started the trend of luxury in pickup trucks and the definition of pavement princess... https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/a15137235/2002-cadillac-escalade-ext-archived-test-review/

    Where to get a puppy?

Beautiful pup and enjoy! Ours is losing her baby teeth now so holy hell….i threatened to leave her at Erindale park for the coyotes. But then she looks at me and I’m ’oh Alright…I’ll keep you’ 2 poops + 3 pees so far in a month of ownership in the house. 4.5 months old pup.

What did you do in your garage today..?

We’re looking at options. Only 170k on the 2018 Odyssey so plenty of life left. She can take the Maverick to work and I’ll gladly drive the Odyssey to its grave. FML when I saw the price of new minivans….looking forward to starting a new thread. ‘Minivan or SUV’

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

It's been a long time since I sent a message...no response at all and no indication the seller even read my message. Plus it's about 1/2 price of anything comparable. I've seen 6x12 trailers for lower prices than 5x10 or 5x8 trailers. 5x8 is my preferred, 5x10 is next. 6x12 is huge (friend...

What did you do in your garage today..?

I had the pleasure of replacing my wife's Oddysey battery in the fun -10C weather we had a few weeks ago....do not recommend. Especially since the battery requires the intake to be taken out to get access to it. Her car died a handful of times during this winter season and I can't always be...

    Metal Roofing?

What's 'Standing seam'? Don't think I ever heard that term before. EDIT: N/M just found it...I like this style. Probably can put this atop the existing shingles on the roof.

    Metal Roofing?

I'd say my roof is WAY easier to work on than yours. Much smaller, and less of an angle to work up there. If I can figure out a way to get the first / second layer on at the higher part...I can do the rest from the top and my plan was to install a tie-off (or 3) right at the top, so I can...

    Metal Roofing?

17k!? wow...my neighbour had his shingled roof replaced last year for 8k, which is the way I was leaning. I've done multiple roof shingle replacements before with my dad...but on single story bungalows, so while fall from height was a concern...I'll take a 12ft fall over a 20ft fall any day.
