Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

I'd probably pull the hardware and either make a gasket or a thin bead of draftstop around the outside flange. Easy to remove in the future but drafts now substantially reduced.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

How many people are driving toronto to Montreal? Pick the right tool for the job. 99% of trucks are personal use vehicles being driven around town. The 1% that are regularly towing or driving many hundreds of km every day will always be better served by ICE. For the occasional road trip, a hit...

I'd be shocked. They've never had the polo here They killed off the golf (gri and r remain). They want you to buy suvs.

I dont know about that. Most of the catered erides are from companies that collapsed. A vehicle that requires a connection to the motheship to work and the mothership no longer exists is almost worthless. I expect Ford will continue to support the lightning for quite a while.

Those go through the side of the cabinet, what goes through the bottom? It looks like the ball valve feeds a line into the floor.

    Baking during Corona

Looks good. They benefit from slightly more salt. Key point is to have the oil screaming hot before you add the batter but I think you did that.

    Baking during Corona

Baking adjacent. I picked up some scotch bonnet peppers to dehydrate and use in cooking (or spicy bread if you really wanted). Prepped them and put them in the dehydrator in the laundry room. Went down a few minutes later and it is like the gates of hell have been opened in there. Hopefully my...

    Where to get a puppy?

GTAM used to have a rockstar dog trainer. I bought some time with her at Liz's celebration of life auction. She crate trained our dog in an hour. I can't remember her name or handle as that was a decade ago. I would wholeheartedly recommend her though.

Whey are there three supply lines? Hard water on one? Fridge supply?

    Where to get a puppy?

Ime (and the experience of many others), dog parks are a hub of ahole dogs and ahole owners. When you have completely failed at any form of training/socialization, you take your dog to the dog park. When they inevitably attack another dog or human, you run away to try to avoid any liability or...

Lots of room to get a camera down beside the pipes to see what's happening. Or run a camera through the drain and see what's happening (but it is easier to get disoriented).

    Where to get a puppy?

For booties, our dog hated them. We tried a few different sets, they were all a fail. Only a very small percentage of dogs will tolerate them. In general, if you can keep the dog mostly in the snow instead of in super-cooled, salted water, they should be fine.

Powerfister HVLP guns aren't terrible and they are very cheap. Your air supply must be dry. I use a dessicant pack on the gun in addition to my normal line dryer. Regulator on the gun makes your life a lot easier too. Pick the tip for the product you want to spray. I have a 1.8mm tip and it...

Ducati Is Recalling Certain Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2s

I was flying into calgary for work and driving to interior BC in the winter. Highway requires snow tires by law. Apparently not a single place in Calgary rents a vehicle with snow tires. I rolled the dice and went with a subaru on all-seasons. No tickets thankfully. It did OK but not excellent...

Ducati Is Recalling Certain Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2s

Sadly, in every relationship, there is a master and a slave. We are quickly relegating drivers to the second category. If your vehicle has functional ABS and the driver is trying to threshold brake, it is the worst of all worlds. The ABS and the driver are both trying to be master and it doesn't...

Ducati Is Recalling Certain Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2s

I had a bike with flash to pass. I'd use it in the corners to temporarily add high beams (it turns out, in addition to low beams). One very dark night on the east coast, partway through the corner, it decided to blow the fuse and leave me completely in the dark. I had to assume that the...

Interesting/infuriating concept here. I haven't fact checked to see if works as advertised. I won't be surprised if it is greenwashed hooey and it is really just membership fees vs paybacks in the circle. Dissertation Defence coming up shortly

Glad to hear you are continuing to push yourself (mentally, emotionally and physically). Good luck in your dissertation. If it's anything like ones I am acquainted with, although it is scary and a lot of work it should be a formality. Your advisor shouldn't let you defend until you are ready...

If the cow barn was too hot and you wanted to cool it and warm the house/shop, just install an air source heat pump condenser inside the barn. Simple and proven with no smell transfer.
