I am pretty sure TD online quotes are broken, cuz i called up last month and got a quote of 3200 for a ninja 250 (this was for month of march which is less than a year when i had my m2. i then tried the online quote and set that to next month (MAY, which is my full year of m2) and was quoted...

just came back from a ride, i noticed the "shhhh" sound only happens when im like moving the bike and applying the brakes, when i'm actually riding and stopping (going at a speed basically) i hardly hear it, hope this helps

Here is a simple and sad answer, unless you are rich, you ARE NOT going to be riding this season. I was in the same situation last year and i was 19, here are the qoutes i got (don't think it changed much this year anyways)...

can't speak for him with the cbr but just to give you an idea, a new 2011 ninja at a dealer near my place cost 5499 + tax n freight i believe (but i think you can negotiate the freight fee out) so its like 6200 all in OTD. Not including registration/plates/other stuff edit: this is pretty high...
