I once insured 3 bikes in the same season (49cc moped, 125cc GN125, 250cc B&W) all over $400 each. Clean record, over 30 and all. Now in Calgary I'm paying $100/yr for the 250cc B&W and my car insurance is $400/yr.

it's the city scooter riders that don't wave back. I wouldn't expect a scooter mom to wave back either and the exec guy on a vespa. It's like getting a soccer mini van mom or beemer to recognize you exist on the road.

just curious where did you place the helmet? Near the bike, in front of the bike or some noticeable distance behind the bike?

I think this is my only rule because all others go against rules of the majority. I like staring at pedestrians and drivers because it will illicit a smile from them. Oh and always wave to the kids and sometimes stand up.

yes you seem correct. Forgot about left lane is for passing rule with all the slow bandits hogging it these days. Right lane for slow drivers but doesn't seem to be the case these days.

It's not lane splitting and it's legal. But as I said in another post regarding riding in the lane with parked cars officers might not see it that way even though it's legal. Now it's up to the court to decide whether it was legal or not. I wish you all the best in your recovery and speedy health.
