Welcome. I am riding a 2013 GSXR 600 too, love the bike.

Looking for a slip on for my 2011 Honda CBR250RA. Something relatively quiet preffered, new or used.

My 2000 Yamaha R1, owned it from new until last year before I defected to a Suzuki GSXR. 14 years of trouble free excitement and thrills, I hope the Suzuki can continue with the reliability I have had with Yamaha.

In that case I would either go back to the stock can or get the Bazzaz tune done so you can try different maps.

Maybe you didn't really loose power with the slip on. You could be more used to the bike or because the slip on makes more noise you think you should be going faster.

My friend bought an R1 as his first bike, less than 700km later the bike was trashed and I was attending a funeral.

Having ridden a Yamaha R1 the last 14 years and on a GSXR600 last season both bikes have their own character and riding characteristics. The torque of the R1 is incredible but at no time have I ever felt the 600 to be under powered. If you are one of those guys who are riding in 5th gear at 50...

I should be careful not to date myself too much :o). When I was 18 ,back in 1983, I bought my first bike, 1981 Yamaha RD350LC, you were able to insure them for just six months in those days and the cost of insurance was next to nothing. I sold my Yamaha R1 last year when I picked up a 2013 GSXR...

Welcome. You might be able to notice a slight difference in power with the R6. :o)

Good luck getting OEM parts quickly. Why not get a Yamaha FZ07?

Why a Ninja 250? Why not try a fuel injected motorcycle such as a CBR250R which can also have the option of ABS or a Ninja 300?

I hope this doesn't catch on, too many people already seeking the wrong attention on their motorcycles.

I attended a sport bike meet over the weekend, having ridden and currently riding a sport bike for more than 30 years I just don't understand why so many riders ride up with the clutch in and the throttle pinned.
