That could give you a high value, after restoration. Knowing how quickly bills add up, my guess is the restoration alone would be over 3K.
I also binge watched it. Easily the worst show about bikes/bikers I have ever seen. The name of their "Club" is "Ice Cream Man from Hell" if that gives you any indication of the type of "bikers" in this show. Their "patch" is just as ridiculous as their name.

You could possibly sew the FOB into the back of your glove and just wave your gloved hand over the ignition. See 5:19 of this video. He also goes into some things to look out for after that.
I have had very good luck with having a local bicycle shop true up my spoked rims. They have all the tools and did it very fast and very cheaply. I believe you will need to have the tire off though.

Does anybody really think that having the plate mounted on the swingarm or vertically actually "looks cool"? I just don't understand why you would want to draw visual attention to a very ugly part of your bike.

Water is definitely something to think about and you both make an excellent point. Having thought about it more, I will be moving the plates to the inside of the frame rails. I was only planning to fill in the sides of the frame and not the bottom so air can continue to flow through the frame...
