These speed limit reductions are getting out of hand

I often think about all those taxpayer subsidized high-performance vehicles owned by the wealthy elite.

    COVID and the housing market

Yeah, Cloverdale Mall. The beer store is closed and that road blocked off. The mall is half dead and I don't know if they will try a resurrection.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

    At what price?

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Kind of like getting parents to cosign a loan on a pickup truck, telling them it'll get you to start looking for a job.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Paywalled but it's Doug Ford not as I originally thought, Ford Motor. The trouble with the bailout and grants is that the properties are owned by a different entity than the manufacturer and can't be used as collateral. Same owner but a different pair of pants.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Also inspect the goods ahead of time. My daughter had the boxes of tile on site weeks ahead. When the tile guy opened them, he found they were boxes of returned discards, chipped and cracked. Then it was panic city to find a replacement.

These speed limit reductions are getting out of hand

If it buys me an exemption, I'd gladly buy a nanny-stater a $50 roll of bubble wrap so they can wrap their kid.

    E bikes rampaging Toronto streets

First we've got to license everything with a motor. That includes the four-year-old driving their mini plastic Jeep / BMW on the sidewalk. Keep them on the driveway or in your backyard. It also keeps them from driving onto the street. Kids don't think in the long term. Years back around...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

One serious speed bump. Who owns the trailer with their name besmirched? Who owns the tractor? Who is the driver? I'm assuming it's private property so no HTA charges. The lift / tow won't be cheap. Anything broken?

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

The basic question is "Why do we have so much crime?" There's a common scenario where a few thugs start a brawl and while law enforcement is busy and spectators entertained the real crime is a bullion hoist somewhere else. Follow the money. I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist but it...

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

We started out main bathroom search for ideas yesterday with a visit to Bath Fitters. Then we went on line and were flooded with five star reviews. We have yet to get a price but the one or two day makeover is a plus. While the samples didn't look bad they were in essence a very large...

    Where to get a puppy?

The other part is temperaments because of inbreeding and expensive to treat physical ailments. The neighbour behind me has a mix that has to be drugged for car rides or it goes nuts. The neighbour beside me has a dog that can only eat kangaroo meat. It cost him $3000 to find that out.

    Where to get a puppy?

Look at the pup's paws. If they make you think of a Clydesdale you're getting a Clydesdog.

    What's your time worth?

Justin was in his glory days touting paper straws in a photo op. Somewhere on a highway near you was a truckload of plastic throw-away dusting wipers. We use old tee shirts and wash them. Costco doesn't have straws anymore. Their cup lids have been redesigned as sippy cups.

    Speed camera update (Sept.11)

What is taken into consideration with safety stats? Since the ticket falls on the car owner it's a one-time financial hit. Pay the fine. If the ticket was issued by an officer the offense goes against the driver's record and attracts insurance premium increases. While the fines are above what I...

    COVID and the housing market

Do the LTB abusers affect the big rental companies at the same ratio as the mom and pop one-offs? Does money and political clout affect the numbers?

These speed limit reductions are getting out of hand

I was thinking about deliberately noisy suspensions and squeaky brakes. Lots of squeaks and a noisy vrooms at every bump. All night.
