I personally like the newer Givi V46 cases and use one of them currently.
Not sure what type/model you are planning on getting, but if you decide to get a Givi mounting plate, I have an older Givi top box which you are welcome to. It actually has keyed alike E22 side cases and the set of them...
That's a pretty cool idea. My current helmets have the ratchet straps instead of the old DD rings and I can get them to still work with the helmet guardian, but that would make them sit a bit lower and be much easier to manage locking up.
It's worth noting that any of these helmet locks that...
Congrats on the nice new lid!
Since my lids are expensive to replace, I typically put it in my top box for short or long stops.
That said, I've kept a helmet guardian on my bikes for the last 15 or so years. Very handy if I'm riding 2up or don't have the top box on me.

Riding in the US may hurt from a currency exchange standpoint, but the gas is cheaper, the motels are cheaper and the food can be cheaper depending on where you eat. Over the last 5yrs, my trips across Quebec or over to BC cost a bit more per day than my trips down south riding to and from the...
That road is the road through La Maurice National Parc. It’s $10 to go into the park and it’s an amazing road. The speed limit is slow and there can be a lot of visitors to the park, but I’ve always managed to enjoy myself on it.
The roads leading to and from the park are also really good...
At the bottom of the first post in that thread, I also have a bunch of ride reports, from many trips that are around a week in length. Have a look around and any questions - just ask:)
From the GTA, a one week round trip on a Ninja 1000 will take you to a host of amazing locations. I'd suggest...
It's gout weed and highly invasive. It prefers partially shady areas and spreads very aggressively from it's underground system (rhizomes). If you have it in a garden with other plants, it will always be there, despite your pulling of the roots, since you won't be able to get them all from the...
Burlap decomposes yes, but wire baskets no.
I was always taught to remove the wire baskets. One company I worked for would fold down the sides of the wire so that the upper half of the basket was exposed.
The thought was that since the majority of the roots are in the upper 18” of soil, this...
At least the roads are windy enough on a route like this that we are moving around on our seats and changing body positions a fair bit. Even still, but the end of the day - we're gonna be pretty wiped.
Thanks @Lightcycle !
Just picked up a pair of these grips now. On my last ride I was thinking my grips feel very hard on my outer hands and I should either try different grips or swap out to a different bar like a Pro-Taper. Will try the grips first.
Annual Bluegrass is pretty easy to identify compared to the others. It has pretty narrow blades and produces a fair bit of seed at low heights. The leaf tips have a slight boat shape to them like the tip of a canoe.
The cool thing about how some of these plants adapt to mowing is that they will...
Next week I'm riding up to Buckhorn to drop my forks and shock off for servicing at Accelerated Technologies.
Going on Wednesday (most likely) or Friday, depending on the weather and which day is better for me to take off work.
They open at 9am, so I will try to be there close to that and then...
What type of grass seed did you put down and where did you get it?
If you have never done a soil sedimentation test, that's a cool thing to show your young kids.
Something like the attached pdf, but I prefer to wait longer than 24 hours for the clay to settle, since those particles are so fine...
