    Honda nostalgia

I also have Honda nostalgia. If I had the garage space, I would buy a 450 Nighthawk again and a VFR750.

What are conditions on Southwood 13 , 26 (Frank Miller), 7 thru Port Sandfield to 632 to Rosseau

You can skip the first several km of it near Sparrow Lake, but not the twisty section that’s in poor shape. The last spot in the south end to access Southwood is off the 19, near Kilworthy:

    Career change

There used to be a guy on this forum who I rode with down to Deals Gap with who ran his own lawn care business in Collingwood. If you think this is a real avenue for you that you are interested in, I'm happy to reach out to him and see if he's still doing it and would be willing to talk to you...

    Career change

What fields are you thinking about getting into? Are you looking to work for someone else or for yourself? Would you do trade work, or prefer sales? I originally went to school for HR /Training & Development and planned to work in a large scale HR / Training environment. After working in that...

    Summer Solstice 2025

Started this ride at 5am with the dawn light just starting to come up. Looks how clean my bike is - I washed it just for this moment. A couple days ago I put on a set of freshly serviced aftermarket rear shock and forks. I only had the chance to commute to work once on the new suspension, and...

    Drive w/ Handheld Device

When I was moto teaching and we had the annual recert for instructors, we had a guest speaker come in and it was the public facing OPP officer Kerry Schmidt to just talk and answer our questions. He was asked by us about distracted driving laws and specifically said that if the device was...

    Summer Solstice 2025

Looks like the weather forecast is holding pretty good, so let's plan to do this Friday. First post updated with 2 pick-up spots along the way and the GPX file. I'll do up Google Maps version later too. Who's in for sure? @orai85 @PacoT @jdmsteR @relict @kurtrules @STARSHIP @PrivatePilot...

    2025 Day Trips!

The Nelson Rigg tail bag I have on my bike is pretty deep and swallowed it all. I brought a thick polar fleece blanket to wrap the forks in and then bungee corded them tight together and into the tail bag. Then put the shock nicely bubble wrapped in the same bag and strapped it down very snug...

    2025 Day Trips!

No bumps at all - repaved a year or two ago. And sand free except for one tiny bit that will be washed away in the next rain. It was amazing.

    2025 Day Trips!

Was lucky enough to get out for a couple nice rides this past week (but not many pics). On Sunday went up for lunch to Haliburton with a couple guys riding Z1000's. Always wanted to own one of those early models. Started late for me (around 7:30am) and just wanted to get out and wear away the...

    2025 Day Trips!

Very nice! Did you ride on Harburn Rd then either to or from Fort Irwin? Last year they were repaving a big section of it and I haven't been on it this year - one of my favourite combos is Harburn Rd to Haliburton Lake Rd.

    Aching Shoulders

Yeah no risers and no cable adjustments needed. I really liked how much better the bike handled with them. I'm always thinking about doing the same thing to my current bike too. Here's a pic of my bike the day I bought it: And here's the same bike a 6 months later with the Pro Taper bars...

    Aching Shoulders

Do you have the stock bars on your bike? On my Strom I swapped over to the ProTaper ATV bars and it made my arms and upper body much more comfortable, Similar to the risers, it allowed a natural bend at the elbows which is so much less fatiguing in the shoulders. Both my FZ1’s have risers in...
