Regulator pooched and maybe the battery too

Haha. The temu one I saw was $18. For now I think most of my issue was corrosion.

    New Rider from Saskatchewan

Welcome aboard! Bikes?? Are these your first bikes? With all the great gravel to travel in Saskatchewan what about some smaller displacement dualsports? Would make good learners. No love for the gravel? Then sure why not cruisers. Again if they're you're first rides I'd still suggest starting...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Was reminded to disconnect the battery before cleaning any connections today with a burn so small it's truly more of a reminder than an injury.

Regulator pooched and maybe the battery too

Following the chart I cleaned various connections and Bingo it doesn't over charge. Thanks! @RC-31 It doesn't spike up high BUT at idle it was 14.2 and @ 5,000 it dropped to 13.9. That doesn't seem right at all. Anyone else think that should be the opposite. Didn't actually follow the chart...

Regulator pooched and maybe the battery too

My new battery barely made it back from the trip it seems. Turned the key today and nothing. 6.6V at the battery. The FRIGGING new battery. Slipped in the Wing battery. Turn key, lights up and fires up. Checking the battery I see lots of 16.5-16.9V with spikes into 17 and 18V. (I'm always...

What did you do in your garage today..?

The DragWing finally got it's "livery". The this is leftover fabric from my GayZed 650. The fabric is gay in the original sense of the word and sense K and Gay rhyme, hence the name. Sadly no part of GoldWing rhymes with gay but the fabric is certainly bold so I'm toying with BoldWing.....just...

Kawi fork cylinder holder tool 57001-1406

Looks like the "driver" end is square. A large bolt ground square welded to a length of tube should do it.

    Good news thread

Rode out to the PCM bike night on Wednesday. It was one of those rides where you brain says "ok maybe a small speeding ticket..." Great fun. Was doing the ton into town and passing slow pokes when ever the chance appeared. At a light in Stratford, I pulled up beside a KIA and the guy inside...

Kawi fork cylinder holder tool 57001-1406

I've made a few of those fork tools for other, older bikes. The Clymers manual would often describe the home made version. As I recall it was some thing like a nut or a socket welded to some length of rod. If you check the partzilla to get a look at the part your removing it may help to fab...

Cheap helmet review by Ryan F9...options under $200

Yup. I found it hard to work at first, but have the knack kind of now. Again the cheaper HJC was much better.

Cheap helmet review by Ryan F9...options under $200

Thanks but I've already made the mistake of buying a bmw before. That and I only buy plain white lids. Hard to get a CF helmet in plain white. People assume if you can pay for carbon you have to show it off. I was told AGV is one of the few who paint CF.

The visor latch on my new AGV sucks compared to my old HJC. Correct I only buy 3 letter helmets.
