Got a weird one. Flat roof problems. So, no rain but the ceiling under a flat roof was getting stained and the paint was blistering a bit. Pierced a blister and it's leaking very slowly in some places. If I were to guess, it's where there's a cut in the vapour barrier above the drywall...
Crap, I didn't know that. They are a huge name in Europe and they sponsor a tour team too. I was happy to see they had some bricks and mortar stores in Canada.
I bought a gravel bike from Decathlon and it was a painless experience. It has pretty good specs and was cheaper than the competition. Have a look there.
That's the biggest issue but there's also the problem that more powerful vehicles chew up the trails. I know our local MTB trail system is very careful when it comes to trail maintenance. Pedal powered e-bikes have a limiter on them. Some can be overridden but that also invalidates the warranty.
Apparently the “trail poaching” by the unrestricted mopeds vs the pedal powered restricted speed bikes is an issue. I can see this leading to bans on all electric bikes on some trails.
There's a fine balance between being too old to enjoy your cash and frittering it away too early and living like a mouse later on.
I have a retired friend who is…frugal. To the point of him doing practically nothing and obsessing over every penny. He realized he wasn't actually living. He...
Haven't looked at Opus or Norco yet but those Opus bikes in the link only have 400wh batteries. I'm looking for 600+ and as close to a do-it-all bike as I can get for mountain bike trails, getting to and from the trails and maybe even some commuting. When I go out for a ride it's usually 4-5h...
More reading.
What I want then is a full power (pedal assist) mountain bike. So the Fazua is out anyway and you were right, there's near universal advice to stick to major manufacturers in case of issues.
Specialized Levo Alloy? American brand unfortunately but there aren't any Canadian made...
I saw some reviews. One said look at components before the motor though as they all seem to have issues at some point. The components look decent although the model above (the Core 3) has wireless shifting.
The price point seemed very attractive for a full carbon frame bike and it has a 5yr...
I like my gravel bike a lot. I like trails on my mountain bike but I do not like/cannot stand ridiculous climbs (to me) to get to said trails or during trails. I get zero joy out of it and I'm too completely wiped to put proper focus into the downhill section. So, I'm looking at EMTBs to help...
When we renewed we looked at our budget to max out our payment so we could pay the mortgage down quicker. We pay $300 lump sum every month (150 biweekly) on top of the mortgage payment that comes directly off the principal. The 300 is an automatic payment at the same time as the normal...
It works on islands or countries surrounded by others with no guns. When you have a leaky border thousands of kms long where the bordering country is actually the most gun crazy in the entire world it's like plugging holes in a sieve with infinite holes.
