Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

Back around 15 years ago my boss got a good deal on about 10 return hot tubs that were returned to costco...some of them for as little as a burnt out 10 cent light bulb. I am pretty sure that hot tub company went out of business.

    900,000 students coming in…

A couple years ago he did report 2 brothers here on fake documents - even under fake names and he didn't get one follow up email or phone call so his faith in the government investigating anything is about zero percent.

Talking to another friend today who has a rental house and he was telling me how he knows 2 of his tenants are actively forging documents while waiting for Permanent resident status....came as student and now having fake pay stubs made and fake documents to show they are working in their field...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Oof off duty police officer escalates verbal altercation to punching a man in the face. Thank god it was on video, but even with video, the charges were a joke and only received 5 days suspended from working.

Has the city lost it's mind...

Dumb criminals. Where did they think they were going to take it in to turn it into cash? Did they have a plan to drive it across the province to take to an unsuspecting, or unaware of the situation scrap yard? Or maybe cut up a couple of km worth of wire into 1 foot chunks? Surely any scrap yard...

    COVID and the housing market

My buddy did switch one of his to airbnb, and selling the other. Was this 10 hours up north like your other places? Maybe different in the gta with 5,000 backlogged cases. My uncle manages rental properties downtown Toronto and has also been dealing with a lady that won't pay/leave with a...

    COVID and the housing market

I had a half hour conversation with an old friend this morning. I knew he had purchased a couple rental properties 5 or 6 years ago. I asked how it was going, he said he sold some, made some money lost some money. I asked if he has had any bad renters o_O:oops: There started 20 minutes of...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

No surprise. One of the guys I use for a helper did a few days roofing last week. 2 or 3 of the guys went through 15 twisted teas and had to stop for 12 more on their lunch break. Also went through 2 - 5 packs of high test pre rolled joints (@34.99 each), and the main boss man drove everyone...

https://www.cp24.com/politics/2025/06/25/canadian-border-agency-investigating-dozens-of-cases-of-potential-iranian-officials-allowed-into-canada/ No surprise here. When I returned to Pearson in March from Thailand I was shocked. After doing the automated passport machine where you make your...

    That didn’t last long

I am "lucky" there are two gas stations near my home across the street from eachother that seem to battle a little bit for best pricing, same thing, every day around 13-14 cents cheaper if I go out and get my gas at 10pm at night compared to 8 in the morning. Was in Cambridge the other day and...

    Brian Wilson RIP

Crazy to me how young he was writing songs like god only knows in his young 20's. Same with Stevie Nicks writing some of her greatest hits in late teens/early 20's.... Back when there were no cell phones and you actually had to be creative to pass your time I guess instead of staring at a screen.

    Local Auto Thefts

Surprisingly Quick police reaction time, caught the thieves in the act, as well as the homeowner who fired his gun to scare them away. No surprise most of them were already out on bail for other crimes...

    Pickup Trucks

Good luck. Any mechanic I've talked to over the last 6 months have said they're a lot more scared of ministry repercussions now that they are required to take photos and measurements and document things better. Even getting my trailer safetied was a bigger deal this year. I'm sure if you head...

Man scammed by a fake certified cheque, lost polaris slingshot

Not a scam, but after living in condos and apartments for 4 months over the wintertime in asia, realizing I don't need much in life, I have been having a bit fire sale of a lot of the contents in my home (2-3 people a day stopping by) My neighbors might think I've been selling drugs haha...
