The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Hmmm.... I do see a problem there. TLR has two coolant radiators + a pancake oil cooler, TLS has one coolant radiator and a air-to-oil cooler. That clearly does have the pancake oil cooler from the TLR on it, so is the rad the ad mentions oversized, or is it a normal sized TLS rad? Do they...

Did you get a front fender with it?

2025 Insurance quote reality check please

There are two kinds of motorcycles - supersports and everything else. Technically an XJ750 would be making 76hp, not nothing, but insurance doesn't even know or care about that. They care that it's 750cc. They don't care if it has ABS or traction control, they don't care if your grandson is...

2025 Insurance quote reality check please

I don't think any insurance is going to be friendly to an 18 year old starting out on a 750. Try quotes on 125s

    I just bought a 1984 Honda V30 Interceptor

Just remembered something that may help - I remember my VF500 was EXTREMELY sensitive to stale gas for some reason. It would only take a few months of sitting, even with fuel stabilizer, until it would completely refuse to start until you replaced the fuel. Then it was completely happy

    I just bought a 1984 Honda V30 Interceptor

I've had one before. For however good I am at wrenching now, I was worse at it then. I still have a loose VF500 oil pan kicking around somewhere due to that.... and a set of forks, in unknown condition. Recommend you get a tiny bicycle pump and an accurate pressure gauge for the air preload...

Interesting, we don't have many Zero riders here. The SR/S would be the one I'd want! Welcome

    Darksiders beware...

Never mind darksiders, "Any tire is not original equipment or equivalent equipment" could easily be interpreted as any tire that is not the OEM size, radials on a bike that came with bias plys, knobbies on bikes that came with smooth tires, etc

What's the one thing you always forget or wish you'd brought on long trip on 2 wheels?

Not going over the bike thoroughly enough before a long trip.

    Cannot access GTAM on Android

You know I was kinda wondering if this was IPv6 related

    Portawalls

Honestly I'd never even heard of "Portawalls" before. There is not a big custom bike community here on GTAM - there are a few guys who build racebikes and stuff. If there are current folks doing aesthetic builds they are keeping quiet about it. Maybe, *maybe* JohnnyP636 would have known about...

Country Living (septic, well water, etc.) ... who's done it?

Currently living with septic and a cistern. It is surprisingly easy to live with... there has been a few hiccups I suppose. Just recently had the pressure tank replaced. Would really like a reasonably priced system to monitor the water level in the cistern... for now we just check it with a...

Motor Vehicle Sound checks in Toronto (dB)

Immediately made me think of the 2006 Yamaha R6, though that would work out in the owner's favour I think

Internet Providers besides Bell and Rogers

The funny thing is, when I had Bell fibre I had an ONT alongside the Home Hub. Folks online said plugging directly into the ONT wouldn't work and I took that for granted, but one day I decided to try it anyway just for laughs and it worked no problemo. I have heard that in installs where you...

Internet Providers besides Bell and Rogers

Out of everyone I've used, TekSavvy has had the best customer service but they have pretty meagre offerings to my current address. Cogeco has been fairly good - one thing I appreciate is that they continue to just leave me alone and don't continually harass me with upsell calls. Bell's customer...
