I usually warn cars when they dont have their lights on, i find pulling up beside the driver usually results in nadda. I pull a bit ahead so that im in their FOV and then gesture back at them. Most people get it after a few attempts.

Correct, insurance follows the vehicle. If you loan out your vehicle you take the risk of your policy getting affected.

Again i've never read this in the small print, but i don't completely doubt it...as far as i know you can hand the keys to any rider with a valid license. Can you copy paste the blurb in your policy?

eh I've never heard this...although it could very well be buried in the small print somewhere. Or are you referring to secondary driver? Which technically should not apply since they are a) not of age and b) reside somewhere else..although i've heard the latter being waived for coverage.

ya it triggers around 11 over from what i've been able to tell.

18 year olds are considered super high risk on pretty much anything..because they make bad decisions (see speeding ticket already on record). Sounds to me like the classic 'go away' price.
