    Darksiders beware...

Maybe. It might not be as bad as you expect though. That's why the test would be interesting. Car tire is miles below it's max load so there is a chance the profile is more curved than we expect. I suspect that out at the limit, the car tire will have substantially less grip than a bike tire but...

    Darksiders beware...

Fair enough. I would love to see two roughly equivalent bikes and riders on a track with one on normal motorcycle tires and one with a normal car tire. That should be a reasonable wort-case scenario. If the car tire has similar pace and survives, that seems good enough. Added longevity is a win...

    Inverters !

As a start temp drop is based on cubic ft not square feet. Also very affected by humidity levels (and especially change in humidity). Almost every sales quip is complete garbage and should be ignored. As a rough calc, 100 sq ft with 8' ceiling dropping 15 degrees (I'm assuming Fahrenheit), in...

    Darksiders beware...

Like everything, it's just moving the odds around. It makes the lawyer for the person that believes they have a case work harder as it both eliminates some easy attack vectors (eg nobody told me) and the lawyer needs to provide compelling evidence/case law on why the waiver should be ignored in...

    Inverters !

Just for your info in your enclosed floating bedroom, R290 is propane. Only 0.25 lbs of it though so even if it leaks, you shouldn't be able to blow.

    COVID and the housing market

It goes the other way too. The kids go up to the cottage for a weekend with their friends. Some of the in-laws nearby cottages really have some dumb young adults. Brilliant ideas like "let's go drinking and boating", shooting a pellet gun at their buddies swimming, trying to wakeboard with no...

    Inverters !

It's R290 so not compressorless. 6000 btu so 0.5 tons. Seems similar to portable a/c with ducting to dump hot air. The most convenient but least efficient way to cool a space with a compressor...

    Cleaning/polishing engine case

Use imgbb to host pics. It's free and doesn't have size restrictions. Imo, you are spending a lot of time and money on appearance for the S40. That's fine but know that you will get back zero for your effort when you sell. It is for personal gratification only. As for polishing the case, you...

The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

Maybe if you put trials/stunt bike gearing on it, it would make an interesting shriner car for a parade. If top speed was 15 km/h, it might not be quite as awful.

Wow. Stop for 25 over turned into seven tickets, $1300 in fines and 11 demerit points (most related to failing to secure children). Ouch. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1MYV6qmdXi/

What did you do in your garage today..?

If you don't care about the wheels, it would be easy enough to remove the axle and seal the holes. You don't even need to be as fancy as welding. A scrap of plastic or metal over the hole and a piece of tape (patch tape for ice rink, vinyl pool repair patch, etc) to seal it in place and you're done.

What did you do in your garage today..?

Most wheeled bins are not remotely water tight (most have an axle.that passes through the bin with no seals). A thick industrial bin liner (garbage bag) may be good enough to make it work. Just be careful when lowering heavy parts in.

    COVID and the housing market

A combination of the rich and the locals have more combined pull than the pool of financially stressed cottage owners.

Enough of COVID...what are you doing to the house?

There are alarms that may be worthwhile. Basically the sense waves of someone falling in and start screaming. Hopefully they wouldn't be set off by wind or rain I'm the middle of the night. Worth looking. Another shift of the odds in your favor.

    I always thought "Size Matters"...

The last bike I got hopelessly stuck was a cb450 on street tires. On a trail off elephant lake road with no cell service. After exhausting all good options, I had a rope so I laid the bike down and dragged it out from firmer ground. Mud was deep enough that after a bath, there was no damage.

I agree. No solution is perfect. It's all just moving the odds.

You load her in a a handlebar basket like ET? That helps keep the front down.
