I had a Shark Evoline, and just upgraded to a Shoei Neotec. The Shoei is far quieter. I have a short commute every day so I don't bother, but if I'm riding for more than 1/2 an hour I use hearing protection.

Glad you figured out the bikes problem. How is the chain being really loose an indication that the front suspension was tampered with??

+1 Riding in rain is a learning experience. All steel (manhole covers, etc.) and painted lines will be very slippery.

My tank is 22 litres, good for around 400 km of highway riding, 300-350 of day to day riding (commuting, etc.). Small gas tanks are an excuse to stretch the legs more!

What's the owners manual say? Valves at 1,000 km sounds very fishy.... First service usually oil, filter, lube all the misc. stuff, and check over that nothing serious has come loose. Valve clearances are usually at +20,000 kms!
