    Center stand advice..

It took me a few tries before I figured out how to use the centre stand on my 1100 Virago. My bike weighs about 500 lbs so can't just lift it with my arm, I keep it extended straight and use my foot to actually provide the leverage. This short video is an excellent example of the mechanics...

Finally convinced myself to get a bike!

I have both the Icon Contra jacket and a Teknic Chicane jacket. The Contra is exceptionally comfortable in moderately cool to hot weather. The Teknic is fantastic down to zero deg C when I wear a sweater under it. For me the Contra fits better and has superior armor compared to the Teknic.

Good golly Miss Molly, I like "prolly" 'cause it rhymes with "trolley" and to try to get everyone to change their use of the word is prolly folly.

    Looking for Shop in Hamilton

+1 for Ultimate Cycle. Kelly's does most of the general repair that I can't handle in my own garage. Their labour rates are competitive and I've always been happy with their work

New "mid-life crisis" rider in Brampton

Welcome, I started at 48. Glad I did 'cause if I'd waited until I was 50 I'd be too old to learn new skills, my reaction time would be too slow and yada yada and bad things ;) Just kidding!!

Bike stuttering excellerating first and second gear.

There are likely several things that can cause this. Most probably fuel delivery or ignition. For fuel delivery, Carbs not synced is one, Clogged jets or stuck choke is another. Start simple. Your bike was never intended to run on modern fuel I'm guessing your carbs are getting a bit gunked...
