I'm also looking for an enclosed trailer, so this the timing of this thread is perfect.
Just a couple of comments. Trailer brakes are something you don't pay attention to until you need them.
If your trailer weighs over 1,000 lbs empty and you put two 400 lb motorcycles into it, plus your gear...
The ride is a lot of fun, I did the Hamilton one in 2012.
Some advice if you aren't used to group riding.
Listen carefully to the instructions at the beginning, they are meant to help you have a safe and fun day.
The riding clubs that show up have been riding together for a long time, I find...
Wow Mr. Walczak, Thanks for sharing. I was also in an accident Sept. 29. I was off the bike for 6 months to the day due to injuries.
Like you I'm also glad for the things I still get to do and riding is still one of them.
Thank the maker for quality gear I only suffered a broken ankle and...
That's an excellent rate from Riders.
I'm 51 and have had my M2 since 2011. I'm riding a Virago 1100 and my rate is $1200 per year full coverage through Intact.
I started riding at 48, so you're definitely not alone. My first bike was a Yamaha Virago 250 cruiser.
What I loved about that bike was the riding position and it's light weight and low centre of gravity.
It was incredibly easy to learn on and had very forgiving throttle response. When I dropped...
I was solo so my wife wasn't involved in the accident, and didn't witness it.
I really got off lucky, the injuries were exclusively to my left knee and ankle.
Thankful for good riding gear or it would have been worse.
Damn I miss riding.
I got left-hander-SMIDSY'd in September, I was able to ride home after I had relocated my ankle
Suffice it to say a broken ankle and crushed knee means I can't ride until April.
Gathering repair parts for the bike and will be rebuilding when the garage warms a bit.

On the Virago forum we regularly see 250's with really high mileage.
The only reason to buy one with under 10,000 is because you expect to sell it next year for nearly new price
(An...
My brother in law has the M50, same basic bike, handle bars and fenders is about the only major difference.
60,000+ reliable kms. He loves it. It's had the baffles removed and sounds amazing. He seems to have no problem
keeping up with my 1100 Virago.
Anyone who's posted in this thread have an aftermarket (read louder than stock) exhaust?
Electric will never be viable to the "Loud pipes save lives" crowd
Voice of experience: Don't try 2-up until you are confident you could pass the M1 exit tests with a passenger.
In a slow parking lot manoeuvre with my daughter on the back of my 1100 Virago, we toppled over when she shifted her weight to the inside of the turn.
I thought I was being safe by...
Cool, we'll be down there August 16-23. We are Trailering our bikes and staying in Gatlinburg.
I can't stand the I75 through Detroit, we always head down I79 and leave through Fort Erie.
We are also making it a 2 day trip down and the same on the way back back.
It is vacation after all and I am...
