    Enclosed trailer hacks

As long as you are outside the inner city and we're not talking too far south of the border, the most you need is steady airflow at night. A maxxair or similiar is more than enough. If its for a trials bike or dirtbike, the next best thing will be a Risk Racing footpeg mount. Less fuss...

    Enclosed trailer hacks

Not quite a trailer, but I went with L track, pitbull TRS and a wheel chock on the other side. Not always carrying just my own bikes. Magnet screen too, but I gotta re-do it. Not happy with the seal.

    Duke 890 or MT09

The 790 isn't really a hooligan bike though. They don't market towards that either. The 690 SMCR and 690 Duke are much more in that class. The 790/890 is a very stable naked bike. Their marketing dept was calling it "The Scalpel" and all the emphasis was on things like canyon carving. After...

    Duke 890 or MT09

That was my last time going there, and it had been a while before then. RIP. That's a photo tag picture anyways. It's either that or a temple in Brampton or license plate shots from the Dundas & 403 Tims. I was more trying to show the specific MT-09 I'm comparing to. It's not a hypothetical...

    Duke 890 or MT09

It's caused some mid trip refueling challenges a few times before I started pre-planning 200km fuel stops. Not an issue for the urban rider at all.

    Duke 890 or MT09

One other point that may no longer be the case with the new mt09 would be the fuel range. The range on the older mt09 was in the low 200's per tank. My 790 is in the mid 300's. This is mixed condition spirited riding. Babying it on the highway I've done 400km a few times. Not a huge problem...

    Duke 890 or MT09

I have a 790 Duke so its very similiar to the non R 890. I love it as a daily and a weekend bike. I've ridden a few of the older model MT-09/FZ-09 and while they definitely have more power than the Duke, the Duke is a much more exciting bike even when doing mundane things. 44,000km on it and...

What does $1,700 on an Akrapovic exhaust get you

Since when has a slip on been anything but a vanity exercise? Especially in the age of solid works or other equivalent flow simulation software. It's like someone took meticulous notes of a Yammynoob top 10 video and made a video response about it unironically.

NEW RIDERS - great rates + moto advice - NFP Moto

I'm not sure if this is going to be with NFPMoto or the staff that transferred from Dalton Timmis. I just discovered that with the Echelon policy that they brokered, that I was marked down as them cancelling my insurance. This was when Echelon changed their policy to no longer insure those...

    Waterproof and Somewhat Warm Gloves

Since these are infrequent use gloves, simply wearing latex/nitrile gloves underneath will get the job done. You'd be surprised how warm those are and you still have your normal glove in terms of feel and protection.

Garage Door Opener wired to handle bars

You can't open the garage door via voice command without 3rd party workarounds and etc. Security precaution. You can close, but not open.

    Touring Tires

It depends on the definition of sport. Multi compound sport touring tires will have less grip when upright, but comparable grip when fully leant over when compared to a sport tire. There are multiple classes of sport tires as well. I would never choose an ST tire for maximum lean angle...

Do cell phone batteries die suddenly

An oem phone battery is good for about 1000 cycles (charge/discharge) before degradation is noticeable. Think of it like age where 1000 cycles is like hitting middle age. You don't move around as well as you did as a teen but you can still do most of the stuff you've always done. You also...

Have a new rider in family. I think I have a plan but can someone offer tips on getting started re: licensing and insurance?

A couple weekend/day courses, a few months of riding experience split over winter (while studying for final year of uni/college) is an awfully short timeline for prepping a road trip. Of course, the definition of a road trip is diverse as well as the type of riding they expect to do. I'd be...

    Riding during winter

I've ridden in as low as -5c before windchill, on the highway for a couple hours. Exposed flesh is an issue. Appropriate gloves is the highest priority (Revit Kodiaks are what I finally settled on). Underarmor Base 4.0 was enough for me, no heated gear needed, but it is not appropriate office...

Please help, bike goes to neutral when shifting from 1st to 2nd - is it normal ?

Let the clutch out fully, then pull it in again. It should shift from neutral to 2nd then. If you keep getting neutral instead of 2nd, maybe you need to adjust where your shifter is.

    Supernaked to Supermoto

Gotta say that after trying a sumo on the gap, i've been looking at kijiji ever since I got back. Can definitely see problems with enjoying it to it's fullest on Ontario streets though. It's going to be my 3rd bike (2nd insured).
