He didn't say in that video. Even in the exhaust video, he didn't say clearly. Not hard to find from a close shot though. https://www.mistralspecialparts.it/en/product/short-exhaust-royal-enfial-bear-650/ https://www.mistralspecialparts.it/en/product/decat-royal-enfield-bear-650/

    Speed camera update (Sept.11)

There are three different models. The most common is camera is owned and maintained by camera company who keeps iirc 30%. Less common is municipality owns the cameras and pays another municipality to process tickets (Iirc 10-15% of ticket goes to processor). Last is fully in-house, I think that...

The Bad Drivers of Ontario Thread

Be careful what you wish for. Easy for government to mandate in-vehicle breath testers for every vehicle. Drives up costs, complicates repairs and generates additional repairs. May save a few crashes at a cost of billions. Dirtbags will find a way to bypass system. Non-dui drivers will pay the...

Late last year I sold a bunch of aapl and put it in a globally diverse etf. That change was so far a great idea. Much less affected by the cheeto.

Read the rules carefully. I don't see a path to withdraw as the kid without being enrolled in school. I know some people have enrolled kids to be able to extract the money that way. Losing the tuition was less than the tax.

Seeking advice for quick sale of GSX-R750

You may want to post here, generic fb marketplace and somewhere like Track Fanatics Canada on fb. That covers a lot of the market for people that may be interested in your bike. I can't help with price as I have no idea. Beat up and stored for extended period definitely won't get top dollar.

    Canada Post - Huge losses

The report the government was waiting for was released. It recommends phasing out daily residential delivery but keeping daily business delivery. That seems reasonable to me. Obviously there are some logistics issues to be solved like how to queue mail between deliveries...

    Speed camera update (Sept.11)

I set cruise going past cameras. I agree with you though, with so much attention focused on camera, I am not convinced the safety increases nearly as much as they like to pretend.

I am putting money aside but I will try to guide them away from university or college. It's not the path to success it once was and there are far better paths imo (i have a degree and my wife has three). If they do something like a trade, RESP can be used for that. University and college take a...

    Speed camera update (Sept.11)

Typically (but not always), more affluent neighbourhoods have streets that are a far better design to control flow naturally (both speed and limited number of vehicles). Cheaper neighbourhoods have simple grids that are designed for well over the posted speed limits (and a hell of a lot of...

That assumes that the child is in a program where they are able to extract all the money. Money not used for education gets assigned and taxed to the subscriber not the beneficiary. I don't see a way for it to be taxable to the kid other than if it is used for education (and related expenses)...

Maybe. You are taking on a ton of risk though. At the back end, if there is extra money, government taxes as income at your marginal tax rate plus 20% (if you were in the top bracket, 33% fed+13% pro+20% penalty =66% tax on RESP growth withdrawal. Ouch). That is justified by assuming that CESG...

    Speed camera update (Sept.11)

Douggie is messing with cameras again. Vague wording in the budget that allows province a lot of oversight and latitude in controlling how and where they are deployed and tickets issued. No specifics so things can change in an instant based on a whim (or lobbyist). Some of the changes seem ok...

Depending on returns, a single investment of ~30k when they are born will give them ~$1M when they retire. If opening resps for kids, be sure to coordinate with parents. It is bad idea to put in more than 2500/yr/kid.

The estate owes the debt. If there are assets in the estate, they pay the debt. If the estate doesn't have assets to cover the debt and you don't do something dumb like assuming it, the debt dies with the debtor.

    Canada Post - Huge losses

When did I say compete and total waste of money? Or getting rid of anything? I argue for sizing appropriately. The main barrie library is 56,000 sq ft. 40 full time staff and 57 part time with a 10M budget for 157k people. I have never seen more than a few dozen public in there at any time...

    Canada Post - Huge losses

Just because something is a good idea has no bearing on whether it is appropriately funded. Libraries are a great example. Giant money pits with soaring ceilings every few blocks storing millions of dollars of rarely used inventory. The idea is great but everyone would likely be better served by...

You're even from a year ago? That's not ideal. I'm roughly even over the last three months (-0.5% now) but way up over 12 months. It's not easy for me to see rolling 1 yr return but eyeball average is something like +20% 1 year ror. EDIT: Back to ~even on May 17 (up a little but not a...
