Others have answered already. I’m hearing of partners divorcing later in life for the same reason. They each run up heavy debts to have fun in their last years, and then when they die the other partner isn’t saddled with the debt.

Well thanks to this thread I went to check my 6 month average and 1 year ... basically 0% difference b/w the 2 times. Only drops were when I took money out for other expenses from my TFSA. So...doing nothing was effectively the right call for me.
