RDL is the ultimate seat mod and I loved mine but the one for the Vstrom 650 I found too tall. I still think your problem is not seat comfort related directly rather than positioning with bars/arms/grips plus seat. my 2 cents. 60 years riding I'm still fiddling with risers/grips/Airhawk.
