I will be riding in Hamilton this spring too. I'm on the west mtn upper paradise n stone church area. I ride a hyprmotard that I picked up a few weeks ago. Took it out for my first rip today. Still very sandy out.

Took my new to me hypermotard out for my first ride. It is way different than my Drz 400. Roads are still very sandy/salty so took it easy and stuck to some lightly traveled back roads. The low speed maneuvering is sketchy compared to my Drz. It's going to take some getting used to

I just got a quote from td for these two bikes and they were both within $10 with the 2012. However with the recent power upgrade of the Ducati in 2013 it is now classed as super sport to the insurance companies. So I will have to stick with a used one down on power too.
