Ontario laws for the color of marker lights on motorcycles

No red lights facing forward, unless it's an emergency vehicle and I believe, no blue lights anywhere, unless you're a cop or a snow plow. I don't think there are restrictions on any other colour.

GS500F 2008 burning oil and trembling

You sure it's burning oil ? Are you getting blueish smoke out the pipes ? If you're going through a couple of litres of oil in 940 km - you would look like a crop duster, going down the road. Maybe didn't get the sump full, on initial oil change ? As for why it's burning oil (if it is) - worn...

    How were your nerves ..

First time I got on a bike ('58 AJS 650), I was 17 and the feeling was absolutely exhillarating. Riding in traffic, which I did the first time, didn't faze me - different time though - there didn't seem to be nearly as many dipsticks, boneheads and curbstones on the roads, as there is now. Back...

    10W40 Oil

For the most part, what this person is saying is true - the last bit though, is not. You're not likely to find anyone saying that "regular" oil is as good as synthetic - assuming they know what they're talking about. It does however, cost more. If you're trying to save money and get a motorcycle...

If the 140/150 is Fahrenheit, it's fine - if it's Celsius, it's pooched - replace it.

Q: charging my motor cycle battery?

As was mentioned, you want to charge your MC battery on the 2 amp. setting. Keep an eye on it - it will charge much faster than a car battery. Get yourself a multi-meter (you can get an adequate one at C.T.C. for $10-$15, when they go on sale (all the time)). If the battery is out of the bike...

    Rotella Oil on Sale

The 0W-40 is a group IV and the 5W-40 is a group III+ (hydroisomerized slack wax). I believe the 5W-40 has the JASO MA certification.

    winter storage: fuel

If it's an automatic charger, leave it on all winter - if you're leaving the battery connected to the bike. If you're disconnecting the battery, charge it and remove the charger. Leave the battery someplace cold and check it with a meter, once every month or so - if it drops below 12.5 V - hook...

    Looking for Hot Momma Riders!

A plus ?? I doubt that. What about that little "man in the canoe" thingy - that poor little sucker is sitting right front and centre, with no where to go under hard braking. At least 'ticles have some mobility and could slide around (under, or on top of) whatever comes up against them. BTW - OP...

Best way to get oil or Armorall of your Tires

Go to a hardware store and pick up some T.S.P. (Tri-sodium-Phosphate) - you can get it either pre-mixed or in powder form. Apply liberally to your tires and scrub really hard with a laundry brush - or something equally stiff. It will take oil off a driveway, so it should get the Armour-all off...

    Helmet bug juice!

Hydrogen peroxide ( 3% or 6%). Sold at drug stores - couple of bucks for a 150 - 200 ml bottle. Pour some into a sprayer/mister, spray your helmet/visor, let sit for a few minutes and wipe off with a wet cloth. The hydrogen peroxide breaks down the bug guts and releases it from whatever surface...

Bike makes clicking noise when starting and doesn't start (battery problem?)

Your battery is dead, or close to it. What you hear clicking, is the starting circuit relay/solenoid. If someone has a set of booster cables, try that. If you're using a cars battery, make sure the cars engine is off. G.L. Doug
