    Got vintage?

Wow... that's a good looking bike! Lots of character in the old bikes, my '72 had the original owners manual wrapped in plastic and stowed in the little "hatch" under the seat, which I thought was pretty cool considering she'd sat outside for years. Feel free to post a few more pictures.

    Got vintage?

Started off ordering a lot from the states, but the shipping was often as much as the parts. Then I tripped across a place in Cambridge that has new production stuff for vintage bikes. Am about $1300 into the project now.

    Got vintage?

Decided I needed to become more mechanically inclined and didn't want to be tampering with my daily ride, so bought an old '72 CB350 that hadn't been started in years and the Haynes and Clymer manuals for her - spent a small fortune in shipping and a few dollars in parts and got her running...

Felon from US and entry problems into Canada

I wouldn't want to roll the dice on getting turned around at the border. Seems he can apply for some kind of rehab status; http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/rehabil.asp "...You can apply for individual rehabilitation if at least five years have passed since you completed...

    Owner ship and insurance

Copy of the registration is fine, says so right at the bottom of the registration certificate; "Ontario law requires that this permit or a true copy be carried in the vehicle for which it was issued while the vehicle is being operated on a highway." I make a color double sided copy of my...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

It's also telling that in the last few years a few hundred peace officers in North America had been killed in the line of duty. I didn't know them any better than the thugs or criminals you've posted here about but I'm not prepared to rush to judgement on their character on your say so. Just...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Really? The cops you've met were evil so you know what you're talking about, the cops I've met were clearly pulling the wool over my eyes so I'm deluded. Uh huh. Convincing.

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

I know a couple, I've met a lot. My experience is that they're people like everyone else. Good, bad, stupid, smart - just people, the difference is that they're people for whom most contact with the public has some sort of negative connotation... big shock, a lot of us don't like being on the...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Seriously? That's your basis for condemning every cop? Lucky people don't have the same take on motorcyclists, that'd just be unreasonable. Anyway, back to your muck raking.

Oh yeah - that sounds not at all like some sort of sweeping generalization. No personal bias there.

What to keep on yourself when riding and where to store it?

Got photocopy of registration, insurance slip, spare cellphone battery and $20 bill in sealed bag under seat. Also keep photocopy of motorcycle reg and an insurance slip in my wallet - originals of all the registration slips (car too) stay locked up at home.

    TV shows currently watching

Yep - clean perfect condition clothes, and now helicopters that fly simply because the electrics work - let's ignore the 15 year old avgas in their tanks. Its an engrossing train wreck however. Wouldn't say I'm a fan so much a spectator.
