Get what you want. They meet safety standards and I've tried them on for kicks. They are comfortable. Decide how much risk you want and go for there :)

There are no details in the contract? There are sometimes conditions in the contract that can void a deposit but it they are usually disclosed somewhere. Definitely file a complaint it you were not new aware of the conditions.

I have the same one. Holds fine but rotates. Total crap. I've don't have a permanent solution yet myself, but I haven't had much time to tinker with it.
It should have been designed with a locking mechanism.
look at laptop locks with an alarm. they are annoyingly loud and would definitely get attention if they are messed with, the wire should be long enough to run through a helmet and jacket. only thing is that they are not water proof.
just don't leave your helmet on your bike near club district...

It is ONLY a bike rack (expanded cement pad with bike rack off a sidewalk) No legal parking. Scooters, Motorcycles take their chances. And I do agree scooters are less likely to get a ticket...
