How Long Did It Take You To Learn How To Ride A Motorycle?

Unless you're the master and undisputed champion of every Motorsport out there that involves a motorcycle, I hardly think you're in a position to say you've learned it all, and that sort of attitude lends itself to be cocky and inattentive, which is a dangerous combination on a vehicle where one...

    M1 written test help!

That covers the cost of your M1 exit road test. When they asked you if you're planning on taking a motorcycle course, if you answered no they charge you for the road test as well. If you said yes, they don't charge you for it as the cost of the test is included in the cost of the course. I...

Fruit flies taking over my house!

Put out a bowl with some water with sugar and dish soap in it. I had the same problem, and did this and the flies were gone within a week. They go after the sugar in the water and get trapped in the soap and die.

    Bicycle Lanes

What makes you so special, and so much different than a car that you can't wait like all the other cars? A motorcycle (as far as the law is concerned, and rightly so) is a lot closer to a car than a bicycle. Just because there are idiots out there who ignore the law and thinks owning a...

    Enbridge is unbelievable!

This is a false analogy. If you look at the 407 ETR, even if you only drive 1km on it every 3 months (which is similar to your low natural gas usage), if you don't have a transponder, they charge you an account fee to mail out your bill. If it was straight usage, the cost of the stamp on the...

    Enbridge is unbelievable!

Natural gas isn't the only thing being sold here. He paid exactly the same as you for what we'll call "use of a meter" and then paid 3x more for 3x more gas. If you break it into the two components, he paid the exact same as you proportional to what he used (and proportional to the costs...

    Enbridge is unbelievable!

Having a meter on your property IS use, whether there is gas flowing through it or not. Even if you never use any gas, they still have to maintain the meter, do readings, send you a bill... Are you suggesting the people that use moderate amounts of gas should subsidize you by EVERYONE paying...

    Enbridge is unbelievable!

Since the former Ontario Hydro was a crown corporation (owned by the taxpayers), its debt is our (shared) debt. While no one likes the charge (and I'm no exception), the reality is we are on the hook for it. In a roundabout way, it's just making up the difference between what consumers were...

    Enbridge is unbelievable!

Think of it like a cell phone that includes 100 minutes a month and costs you $20 for your plan. Even if you dont make a single call, you still pay $20/month. If you use 99 minutes, you still pay $20/month. It costs money to build and operate all those cell towers and have staff and keep the...

    Is UPS messing wit me?

While I agree USPS is often very cost effective, and preferred method if it must come over the border, if you buy most of your items from the US, it's still often times more cost effective to have them delivered to a warehouse in the US (as may vendors offer free shipping within the lower 48)...

    Is UPS messing wit me?

I tend to like them for that reason. I don't have to sit home, and the package will be waiting for me a location that is both close to me and open late rather than fighting with a courier to get them to hold it at the depot and have to drive god knows where to pick it up.

    Is UPS messing wit me?

Yup, less than 10 minutes from the border, and from what I've see they're cheaper than most similar places. Also, you can store your package there indefinitely (most other places limit you to a week or a month) so that you can order a bunch of stuff and go down when you have enough items to make...

    Is UPS messing wit me?

Always use USPS/Canada post when shipping across the border. It's *far* less of a hassle (and less paperwork). Saves a ton on brokerage frees too. If you must use a courier, use FedEx (though it will cost a small fortune). The other alternative (that I use now) is get it shipped to a warehouse...

Wear your gear. And don't cry to mommy.

A jacket, some jeans and boots would be a start. This guy is wearing a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers (that fly off during the crash). I'll give you that he's wearing a helmet and gloves but he still could do much, much, much better (and would probably have cut down on the crying for mommy factor)

Wear your gear. And don't cry to mommy.

I don't think any deer is small if you're doing a decent speed on a motorcycle, although I did see a video of a guy on YouTube who managed to keep his bike up after hitting one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZAjJ-g0UDw It looks to me like he hit the deer and the deer was propelled into the...

where to find Ninja 400r fairing or would a 650r fairing work ?

The 650R fairing should be identical (I have a 400R as well). It's the same bloody bike, even the engine is the same (the cylinders are sleeved). The only thing of note that appears to be different between the two is the transmission. But 99% of parts are a direct bolt-on.
