I have a short beard (#1 trimmer) and I find it better than scruff/stubble. Went clean shaven at the start of last season and stubble it acted like Velcro trying to take off my helmet

I would say dress "nice" but know you may show up there and they say, " we did not need you, it was settled out of court 3 weeks ago", happened to the Missus this year

I would stay away from the Chinese stuff, friend of mine got pretty messed up on one. Front wheel bearing locked up, the fact that somebody else has mentioned it in this thread already makes me think it must be common
Myself and 1 buddy completed the Kawartha 500km yesterday, soaked to the bone when before the first check point. We left as a group of 4 from Endras but 2 guys backed out 100Km in due to rain. Did not see a lot of people out there, large group passed us as my buddy was refuelling on the side...
